People who write negative, malicious reviews gotta get hip to the jive that they, just like me, suffer from treatable mental illness. If Dr Askins was inferior, why is his waiting room full of nice patients, every day all day 20 years i been going and he is a brilliant pharmacologist! keep surfing//////////tom canterbury

If you know what to say he gives out Vyvanse as if it were candy! He ups the dose on just about every visit, unless he's already giving you the maximum. I find him extremely irresponsible as a doctor and there's a good chance of getting addicted to this medicine! I would have strongly advised my daughter NOT to go to him if I had known this in advance.

I saw him for one time only after looking up his credentials. He went to all the right school. I guess all the right schooling does not teach him any bedside manner. He was, like a lot of other reviewers said, very late for his appointment. Spent less than 10 minutes with me before handling me a prescription with three medications on it. Pretty scary experience.

I needed to be moved from Lexapro and he had a great way to do it. Highly recommended....

I have been a patient of Dr. Askins for 11 years. Sure sometimes you may have to wait a little bit in his office for your appointment or it might take a few extra days to get an appointment. But thats because he is an excellent psychiatrist. I went to others before Dr. Askins who did nothing for me or wouldnt even listen to me. Dr. Askins always listens and includes you in making decisions about your medications and planning for the care of your health. His office staff is excellent also. They bend over backwards to help resolve insurance issues, write letters on your behalf and fill out supporting documentation of all kinds of various types . If he wasnt an outstanding doctor I wouldnt be with him 11 years later. How many of your friends have been seeing the same psychiatrist for 11 years?

Fantastic! Dr. Askins is the most compassionate doctor and the most highly educated psychiatrist I've ever known. He is a wonderful doctor!

I called to just see if I could see the doctor on a Sunday and the staff I was talking to was extremely unpleasant to talk to. He wasn't helpful at all and had a very degrading attitude. I won't ever try to call this place again.

Dr. Askins is one of the best in his field. I've never met a more humble, generous, and kind Psychiatrist who truly cares about me as an individual patient. He listens to my concerns, and has an open mind to my needs. He is truly one of a kind. I've worked with so many Psychiatrists in the past, and never been treated with the kind of respect and care that he provides. His warm heart, great attitude, and fun sense of humor always makes me smile! :) Thanks Dr. Askins!
