I waited over 6 weeks for an Appointment with Dr Belmont for my daughter that had blood work which indicated lupus. 6 days before her appointment Dr Belmont's office called to cancel said that Dr Belmont did not treat the type of lupus that my daughter has and offered me an appointment 3 months from now with another doctor. This so unprofessional, show lack of empathy and caring and just overall irresponsible and disgusting!!! If I could give Dr. Belmont zero stars I would.

NYU's Center for Musculoskeletal Care is top-notch. Dr. Belmont is also top-knotch in his knowledge of lupus. However, I would say that his style is extremely old school and his bedside manner is lacking. He's extremely blunt. I couldn't help but look at all the awards, degrees and certificates on his office walls and think "wow, this man has dedicated his whole life to lupus but doesn't even listen to the patients who have lupus in his own office." The irony was a bit much. I left his office somewhat belittled and thought his tone was arrogant. He tried to explain lupus to me, which I've had for 12+ years and been on many treatments. He's extremely well versed but as someone who has been around the block with doctors, I look for a doctor who looks at me as a person, not a lab.

I saw Dr. Belmont for my medical condition a few months ago, and it was easily the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor in my life. He is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Also, as a female patient he was extremely creepy and inappropriate. He made me feel very uncomfortable, and I will not be returning. Very disrespectful to his patients - and from what I saw, he speaks down to his staff (of very nice nurses!!) in a very demeaning manner. Dr. Howard Belmont is the WORST

Referred for lupus and Dr Belmont identified kidney involvement. He provided a treatment plan that I understand and gave me confidence I was in good hands
