Dr. Howard M Busch, DO

I generally do not take the time to write reviews but I must make an exception for the Family Arthritis Center staff. I especially want to thank Samantha and Chantel for their friendly service and for cheerfully answering all my many questions.

I don’t write reviews however I was compelled to write one about Dr. Busch. My name is Roberta and I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia about two years ago after taking so many tests since 2003. I would stop going to doctors because I couldn’t keep a job (due to appts or pain) or insurance. My symptoms started out mildly as I started to lose feeling in my fingers in 2003 and my health pretty much declined from there. I also had symptoms of numbness tingling and burning it gradually went from my hand to my arms and my feet and my legs then throughout my whole body sometimes I could not even sleep it was just so many things from pain to depression. I was referred to Dr. Busch In 2016 and within a few visits of seeing him I started to get great results. At least I have some good days now where as before I had none. Dr.Busch is the best thing that ever happened to me as he is the most compassionate, personable, empathetic Doctor ever. I love his one on one approach and how he takes the… time to listen. He goes the extra mile and that is rare to come across. I highly recommend him and his staff. ARNP Rachel is awesome and an angel to the practice. Oh how I love his office staff they are wonderful and work as a team. They are great indeed. I am so blessed to be a patient here. I am a difficult patient at times and really don’t mean to be but with them being compassionate and understanding with my mental health I just know I’m in the best care. I love this Doctor and his staff.

The first time I went into Dr. Bush's office I was seen by him and was given full attention and sold by the care I received at first. When it came down to it, when I really needed Dr. Bush, he was not there for me and I was seen by a NP that had zero idea what my illness was about. I basically had to tell her my routine I did when I come down with illness. She never sent out a specific medication that I told her I need and I had to wait an extra day when even hours are beyond crucial form me. The NP was a nice woman, dont get me wrong, but I would have much rather seen Dr.Bush. As I was done with my visit, the lady at the front desk asked me if I would like to her my primary NP when I come in again because " I am not guaranteed to see Dr. Bush because he sees his new patients before already existing ones". Honestly, I laughed and I asked her if she was serious. I specifically came to this office for Dr. Bush due to his knowledge of my auto immune disorder... and im not guaranteed at… all to ever see him when I actually need him. I felt so unimportant and useless to this office other than for them to bill my insurance. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Every once in a while a doctor comes along that you absolutely believe will be the answer to all of your medical prayers. At least that is what my experience has been with Dr. Busch! Caring, easy to understand and he KNOWS HIS STUFF! I have been chronically ill since I was 8 and have always been told, "it's all in my head." From the minute I walked into this office, I knew my days of being told none of what I am feeling is real, were finally over. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and put on an off label medication, things have NEVER been better. Am I cured? No. Definitely no. BUT ... my pain is more manageable. To mention: people have said this office throws you to the nurse practitioner. Yes, it's true. But Doc often stops by while I am seeing Rachael Busch-Feuer (NP) to see that I'm doing ok. I appreciate that. And for those of you who don't think an ARNP is "worthy" of your time - WRONG! Rachael is amazing, a GREAT listener and has helped keep my symptoms at bay. Thank… you FACC. I couldn't have done it without you..ALL!

I received professional compassionate service. Dr took time to explain clearly and answered all my questions. All staff was professional but Margie went above and beyond. I recommend this Dr

To all looking for this type of doctor...all negative reviews, they are telling you the truth those who have positive reviews, well good for you!

Dr Busch, on my first visit was a charming empathetic doctor.He ordered a huge amount of x-rays and blood work. Sold me, without even asking if II was already taking supplements, expensive supplements that you can only buy through your doctor, or in this case, him. On my second and third visits I was seen by a depressed NP, and prescribed my choice of a couple of controversial expensive injection program to prevent bone loss. when i balked and asked about more natural alternatives, I was met with a cold, dead eyed stare. Aside from this and my only getting to see the doctor once, the office is chaotic, they make mistakes in prescriptions and appointment times, and you can't get a return phone call with ease. They prescribe the most expensive pain relief, and only dial it down when you ask about less costly alternatives. You have to call repeatedly and most of the time you're met with an icy, unfriendly voice. I say most, because one blond women there is pleasant. Dr Busch travels… a lot they say talking to pharmaceutical companies. I was hoping for a doctor who i could see and would see me. I had high hopes for Dr. Busch, but he's proven to be a disappointment, at least for me, and I won't be going back.

I was a patient for 10+ years but they merged with another practice, fired everyone and it's now terrible. I was illegally refused chemotherapy in the middle of treatment due to a low balance I owed...completely illegal. Terrible office, rude, unknowledgeable staff. STAY AWAY AND REPORT TO FL MEDICAL LICENSING BOARD IF THEY DO THE SAME TO YOU! Forced to change to a completely different rheumatology practice.

I finally got a call back from Dr. Bush office. I called already a couple days ago and person stated she will try to reach him. So, now it is two days later and due to a fax sent I get another person calling me. I, too believe Dr. Busch is a very good doctor and it saddens me as I asked if at my next appointment would I be seeing him or his NP. The girl stated that he travels a lot and it would be NP just as others have stated in previous experiences. I told the person that if I can t see him, then I guess I will not need to come back unless I can see him. I don't want a NP. I am sorry that he travels and is only one doctor but he called me to ask me to let him help me and I agreed but not to his NP. So, I hope surely I can see him only. I am really sadden as I had hope to find a doctor that really does care not that he does not, I just am not going for the NP thing. Please don't disappointment me. :( will update the outcome.
