Wanted to write a quick review that Dr. Chansky has been my surgeon for two total hip replacements. I was impressed with his professionalism and personal manner. He provided excellent communications as to what to expect the results would be. My hips are generally as good as new and I am on to a new life. If I have to have my knees done he will be the first call.

For years I knew that I was going to need a knee replacement. Finally my mobility was severely hampered and walking any distance was difficult and painful. When I went to the UW Bone and Joint Clinic I was referred to Dr. Chanksy. I could not have had a better doctor and surgeon! He is warm and caring, thoughtful and thoroughly professional. And so is his team. The pre- and post-op care I have received has been exceptional. I would recommend Dr. Chansky to anyone who needed his services. And when I have the other knee replaced, he will be the one doing it.

I am a young active male who played intense soccer for a majority of my life. I did not realize my hips would have arthritis at age 30. Dr. Chansky diagnosed me with advanced hip arthritis but informed me to stay away from a total hip replacement for as long as possible. He referred me for an arthroscopic procedure and to take a strong anti inflammatory. I still have ongoing hip pain but I am glad for the conservative suggestion as I know I am too young to have hip replacement. Thank you for your insight.

I saw Dr. Chansky knee and hip issues. I followed Dr. Chansky's advice, avoided surgery, followed other procedures, and all is well. What impressed me most about Dr. Chansky was his combination of extensive knowledge and his ability to listen, his alertness to what I was saying (and, perhaps, not saying). I recommend him most highly.

Dr Chansky replaced both my hips. I appreciate his interest in me and making sure I had a successful and smooth surgery. My legs both came out the same length which is a biggy of course. My recovery time was incredible. I was walking the first day and climbing stairs the sixth day. I couldn't give a higher recomendation for a choice of a Surgeon to do your surgery if you need one. Afterall, he wouldn't be the Chief Ortho at the University of Washington if he didn't know what he was doing.
