Dr. Howard Mark Cohen, MD

Dr. Cohen is one of the best physicians I've been treated by, in the last 10 years, and there have been many. He puts his patients at ease and is easy talk with. He listens to his patients and always tries to find the cause of the patient's illness. He does not just treat symptoms, and he doesn't treat you by throwing drugs at you. He is definitely very motivated to get his patients as well as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen. He's not only a good doctor, but most of all he is a good man. ADDENDUM Despite the current climate regarding pain management in our country, and the severe restrictions the DEA has placed on all pain management doctors nationally; Dr. Cohen is still diligently working to find a solution(s) for my and my fellow sufferers pain needs. You couldn't ask for a more dedicated physician than that. This man is a true and solid healer.

Dr. Cohen doesn't think "outside the box" because he has NO box. He is a huge advocate for his patients and doesn't give up or give in when confronted by challenges. When he became my doctor, I was barely functioning. Years later, I'm able to be there for my loved ones and myself on a level I never thought possible again in this lifetime. Dr. Cohen is a great doctor. My recovery was doing well until recently, it has been a month of actively trying to get the office to fax over records doe my short term disability. I have called many times over the past 3 weeks as well as visiting in person and they still have not sent in the records. I am on the verge of loosing my job and I have already gone a month without pay. I have not been released to go back to work so I am not being negligent on my part. This has again increased my depression which is increasing my physical pain and which jas turned up the frequency on my suicidal thoughts which led me to Dr. Cohen in the first place. I am in a resulting hopeless state of mind once again which could have been resolved easily. It's the little things that can cause someone to jump over the edge.

I'm blessed to have access to him. He provides individualized treatment is on the cutting edge of mind/body medicine.

You need a referral and 5 other doctors just to see this one when there are other doctors who will see you for at least just a referral and notes from one other doctor. Plus, I told them I didn’t want to see them and they hassled me with calls and emails for weeks. When I got to the office I couldn’t even have my appointment! I told them I was out of network with my insurance and they said they’d figure something out for me but when I got there they said I needed to pay $200 for my first visit when I’ve already met out of pocket and my deductible for my insurance (aka thousands of dollars for 3 surgeries this year). They said they had no idea why I was guaranteed I’d pay less. They made me feel like I was poor and couldn’t afford their prices when really the point is why would I pay so much when I can see another doctor for free??

So compassionate, smart, I can no longer see him since I’m on Medicare. The more drs I see, the more I realize how good I had it. Was blessed to have him for sixteen years.
