Dr. Howard Eckstein

Visited this doctor in 2020. Spent over 2 hours in the office and then he requested a follow-up in a month. No issues were needing addressed and he said he needed a follow-up "just because" he said. He should not be practicing: was not on time, bad bedside manner, rude physician, and dirty hands during the check-up. If I could give him no stars that would be more appropriate.

I have two kids that go to only him... And he has watches them grow into amazing little human beings. Hes very smart and the only reason y'all are giving him bad reviews is because you guys don't care about your kids and he does... Sucks to suck but it's true. He has helped us grow as a family and helps my kids grow too. Hes awesome. He is always concerned on the well being of the children .

Most of the complaints on here have nothing to do with him as a doctor. All 3 of my children go to him, and I have no issues.

This doctor is extremely rude!!!! I'm not even a patient, I had the pleasure of talking with him on the phone. I am a college graduate in the medical field and this man spoke to me like I was the dirt on the bottom of his shoes and then hung up on me cause I could not fix an issue he was having. When I got the issue resolved, I called him back to make him aware, did not even get a thank you but he basically told me the issue should not have happened in the first place. Thinks he's perfect and expects to be treated as such.

I only saw this doctor because I had my baby in Galion Community Hospital and my normal pediatrician does not work there. He spent very little time with me, and he always examined my newborn in the nursery, so I did not know what he was doing. He told me when I was discharged on a Thursday that my baby's bilirubin levels were a little high, but that she was such a big baby that they would have to get much much higher before it would be a problem. He told me to see my pediatrician on Monday. I now know that this was inaccurate and I should have seen my doctor much sooner. At her appointment on Monday, her bilirubin levels were so high that she was immediately hospitalized (in a different hospital!) and treated both with the lights above her and the blanket under her. I couldn't even hold her for 24 hours. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone else, because he really did not even seem to understand newborn jaundice, which is fairly routine if you are a pediatrician.

I will never go back! He is very rude. He has given as many as 12 rx's in one visit, for 1 child. I do not like to be treated as an uneducated fool that does not take care of my child. I am a nurse, I do not believe in overmedicating my child. I know that each one of these 12 medications has side effects that often outweigh the benefit.

he can be rude, I strictly know how my baby breathes at night and he wants to tell me differently. he takes stinkin forever! and he likes to be right in everything

Best doctor! Those that had bad experiences is cuz they will not stand up as parents!!!

Dr.Eckstein saved my son!! My Son was 2 when he got sick and we took him to the ER they gave him meds for broncitis he had phenomiona I called his office when i started to see my sons breathing change and they rushed us straight in and he saved him!! I would never take my two kids to anyone else!!! He is great!! No one will tell me different!!!

I NEVER CAN GET A HOLD OF ANYONE IN THE OFFICE, IT ALWAYS GOES TO VOICEMAIL AND THEN IF YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE NO ONE EVER CALLS YOU BACK.
