I have seen Dr. hardy for surgery for both a colon resection and a blocked small intestine. He is great at explaining the situation, even to the point of diagrams and anatomy lessons. He is professional, thorough, and caring.

After being diagnosed with recurrent acute diverticulitis it was recommended (by my gastroenterologist) that surgery be considered and I was referred to Dr. Howard Hardy. This was the BEST referral ever! My initial visit with Dr. Hardy was impressive. First and foremost, I was not accustomed to "the doctor" coming out to the waiting area to escort his patient to the exam/or office area (he gets an A+ for that!). Dr. Hardy was warm, friendly, very knowledgeable and at ease in explaining my condition and the surgical procedure that he would perform. I learned that not only is Dr. Hardy well-known at Robert Wood Johnson @Hamilton, he is indeed highly spoken of. Some of the comments that wer made whenever I mentioned his name were: "he's a great doctor", "he knows his stuff"", "you're in good hands with Dr. Hardy". Needless to say I am now among those who are praising Dr. Hardy. Thank you Dr. Hardy for taking really good care of me! I am now in search of a Primary Care Physican… who is just like Dr. Howard W. Hardy III.

Dr Hardy is very caring and professional. He actually spends time with you, listens you what you have to say, how you are feeling and answers all your questions/concerns. Highly recommend him!!

My 18year old son was seen in the ER for abdominal pain which was diagonsed as appendicitus. There was concern that he would need to be transferred to a hopsital with a doctor who would see pediatric patients. Dr. Hardy agreed to operate on him and did comprehensive work. He met with me after the surgery and provided pictures and an explanation of the procedure and my sons status. His bedside manner is excellent!
