Dr. Hausman attended Cornell University and pursued his dental training at the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving his degree in 1979. Upon graduation, he continued advanced studies at the University of Connecticut Health Center’s Family Dentistry Residency Program for two additional years, serving as a chief resident during his second year.
After 3 years of delivering care in private settings, he established his own practice, Longmeadow Dental Care, in 1984.
Professional affiliations include the Valley District Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. In 1990 Dr. Hausman was awarded Fellowship status in the Academy in recognition of his commitment to continuing education, a passion he continues to sustain.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hausman enjoys gardening, bicycling and fishing. He particularly enjoys fly fishing, and recently has …been utilizing his fine motor skills as he explores the art and science of tying some of his own flies.
Dr. Hausman is married to Chris, a Registered Dental Hygienist. They have 2 adult children, Jacob and Isaac.
