Dr. Howard Scott Hessan, MD

My brother and I have been seeing Dr Hessen for as long as we can remember. I started probably around 3 or 4, my brother around 1 or 2. He’s always been so fantastic, caring, snd knowledgeable. I’m 22 now and I miss seeing him dearly. He’s a doctor I would trust with my life. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Hessen. He’s who I recommend to anyone who will listen.

After reading these wonderful reviews and having a good initial visit I was optimistic. But in the end—8 months, 3 visits, and $200 out of pocket. I am still in pain and actually have new different symptoms that he dismissed. Dr. Hassan was pleasant and professional but I felt like one of his many many patience just being shuffled in a room. He has an assistant or understudy in the room. Last time 2 of them taking notes in each corner. Never once has he introduced any of the three. They never spoke or said hello. I didn’t feel like I had any privacy to discuss personal concerns. I had to wait 1-2 months in between each appointment and never was once was offered accommodations despite my continued symptoms and ongoing pain. I loved the women in the hearing area. So helpful and informative. I think dr hessan dismissed my results and certainly didn’t explain them well. After 8 months and over $200 out of pocket, My symptoms are the same or worse, I have more trouble hearing and my… ringing is stronger. All I have from him are 2 sets of drops which sting and don’t appear to help even temporarily. He offered no next steps or options or concern for why I felt the same. Only that he felt things were good. I have no faith in his diagnosis. I am Very disappointed, frustrated and actually a little scared that an issue is going on and building up to something worse. I would get a second opinion.

Dr Hessen is the most compassionate and caring doctor that I have ever met. He has been a godsend to our family

We had a great experience with Dr. Hessan. He went above and beyond what no other doctor would do to help my son. No one else would listen to me about my son's eye discomfort being caused by his sinuses. Dr. Hessan was not sure either but decided to do further testing to ease our minds and to get to the bottom of the problem. The testing showed a complete blockage of his sinuses which was even a surprise to Dr. Hessan. I am grateful to him for going that extra step even if he was not 100%. His office staff was also wonderful. Quick response with any issues or questions that I had.

Dr. Hessan knows his stuff! He is accurate, skilled and patient! He is the best!

Dr Hessan is a very caring and compassionate physician. His treatment of my family from my young son to my elderly mother exemplifies his dedication to medicine and his practice. The staff is very kind and helpful. The office is willing to accommodate the most difficult of schedules.

My experience with Dr. Hessan was wonderful. He listened to me was friendly and really smart. He was the third physician that I saw and he was th only one to Mae a correct diagnosis. I feel like he saved my life. MI cannot imagine going to another ENT doctor. I wish he could be our primary care MD.
