Dr. Mendelsohn is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads. Born in Norfolk, he graduated from Granby High School. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Richmond and then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia and there received his degree in Dentistry. Dr. Mendelsohn then served in the military for 2 years, spending his first year at the Naval Air Station in Marietta, Georgia and his second year here at NOB in Norfolk. He then settled in Virginia Beach and opened his practice in May 1972. Dr. Mendelsohn is a member of the Tidewater Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association and is a Lumineers Certified Dentist. He still resides in Virginia Beach with his wife, 3 wonderful daughters and 5 grandsons. In his spare time, Dr. Mendelsohn enjoys football and horticulture.
