My doctor of 10yrs ago was now on family emergency for past few mths. I'm now referred to Dr. Minami. Called for appt. Chantell refused my request. She said "doctor will not see anyone who has seen a doctor in the past. WHAT? 10yrs ago? She had no time for an explanation. I felt offended. Days later I called for clarification. She had false excuses blaming previous staff office saying I was "still their patient"...they never said that. No faith/confidence in staff, bad reflection on Dr. Minami.

I've been a Patient of Dr. Minami for the past 12 years. He is very thorough. I went to him because of his qualifications. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Medical Degree from UCLA. He was also recommended to me by several of my running friends and by my daughter who is also a physician. Both my wife and I chose Dr. Minami as our Physician. He is very thorough, friendly, and personable .

I had a screening colonoscopy through the Endoscopy Institute. I got an appointment quickly and the follow up was great.

I had to wait 4 months for the appointment, and when I finally saw him, after I explained what my symptoms were, he asked, "So what were you hoping I could do for you?" Uh, help figure out what was causing them and make them go away, perhaps? Then he told me he couldn't help me and even when I asked him to sit down (he was hovering by the door) so I could ask him questions, he said he had to get to another patient (this after not more than 15 minutes of appointment here, at the most) and sorry, just couldn't help me with the abdominal pain and discomfort I've had for two years. End of story. I would strongly advise not going to someone who is so unhelpful and unprofessional.
