Dr. Howard Mirsky, MD

If I could give no stars as a rating, I would. In my humble opinion, based on my experience any positive feedback for this man is undoubtedly fabricated by him or his office. Mirsky and his entire staff seem to not care to treat anyone with respect. He is condescending, acts like he is doing you favor to explain procedures, spends as little time with you as possible, asks for informed consent to be signed without any explanation of risks/benefits what so ever, lets you know to your face that he act however terrible he wishes because he really does not need your “business”. I truly wished I had asked around about this person before seeing him. A medical degree from Mexico? Don’t let this unhappy soul become involved with your care if you can avoid him. There are several other competent physicians in this practice or in surrounding communities.

This is by far the worst, most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen in my life. He is unfriendly and uncaring. Run away from this guy as fast as you can.

I thought Dr. Mirsky was very competent and honest when he discovered I had prostate cancer. Rather than try and sugarcoat things and treating me as if I was wrapped in egg-shells, he told me the facts, told me I was stupid for waiting after a positive PSA (which I was) and made me feel instantly better for having gone to him. I appreciated his candor, because when he told me all was going to work out, I actually believed him.

My husband went to this man for a prostate biopsy. Minsky passes out form letters for medications and instructions that are to cover everyone instead of having the instructions tailored for the patient. After phone calls from us, and the Hershey medical center, and 2 more calls about medications, we thought we had everything covered. After an enama and mega dosing of antibiotics, we were told he couldn't perform the biopsy because my husband was taking blood thinners, and that he does not need them for a heart procedure that was done 8 years prior. No doctor would take anyone off of blood thinners who has a mechanical valve in his heart, a real doctor adjusts the medication to treat the patient. Mirskey then was extremely rude and basically blamed us and Hershey medical for not "understanding" directions. Stay away, far away from the York Urology Center especially Mirskey, he doesn't qualify as a real doctor.

In 2003 it was discovered I had Prostrate Cancer, Dr. Mirsky was the doctor I saw, and I was very thoroughly examine. My wife and I liked Dr. Mirsky from the very beginning. I eventually had surgery, and the next year I had to have radiation treatments. I have been seeing Dr. Mirsky once a year since for a checkup. This guy is one of the best Dr./ Surgeon I have been to for a medical procedure. I would recommend him to anyone.

To my knowledge there are no other Urology group in York, the lack of competition shows. I feel like they have you by the balls and they know it.

I have avoided going to Mirsky or his associates because of his attitude. WHich is a shame because I have been seeing him for years and the longer I've been there the less I trust him. I actually went to a urologist at Memorial Hospital rather than go to him.

Mirsky is arrogant, loves himself way too much, and is very rude. He most likely paid the other â??reviewersâ?? to raise him to saint hood, to feed his celestial ego. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Mirsky is a very knowledgeable and personable Dr. He listens-to what I have to say. He has great bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon. I would wait for an appt no matter how long it took , just to see him. I would recommend him to anyone
