Dr. Howard Steven Ort, MD

Took my 13 year old daughter to see him for an ear infection, he proceeded to tell her she was over weight.she is not a tiny skinny little thing which is clearly what his opinion a 13 year old should be. She is a 13 year old girl that swims 3 hours a day.. has muscle and broad shoulders. For a person to tell any teenage girl they are overweight should be banned from being a physician for children. Our society including this dr is the reason why so many girls are anorexic or bulimic.

I have been seeing Dr. Ort for over 16 years. I was an allergenic, asthmatic mess when I first visited him. His cautious but assertive approach to my health got my problems under control. I have not had one trip to the emergency room since being under his care (a place I had to visit quite often!). He taught me to measure, be aware of, and understand my symptoms so that I could manage my health. He helped me find the right combination of meds to keep everything under control when needed. His allergy and meds knowledge is always current. He may not be the warmest, fuzziest personality but he is always friendly. His attention to detail and your overall health picture, in addition to his extensive knowledge of the allergy/asthma world, makes him my go-to doc for most of my health problems. I would highly recommend his care.

Wish I could continue my visits with this doctor because he understands my health conditions and helped me look for alternatives when something is not helping or working for me. Follows Up after Visits were always excellent because he will express concerns if I did not improve and will make suggestions on if I wasn't comfortable with something.

This doctor has been at this clinic too long. He is rude to his patients. He believes too highly of himself and will not run tests to determine allergies. His diagnosis is not always accurate, of course, he does not run proper tests. I had to see another allergist as a second opinion just to find out what was causing my symptoms. This doctor did not take the time to find out what was making me sick. He was very rude, obnoxious, and may have psychological problems. Don't waste your time with him, find a good doctor that aims to heal and focuses on your well being.
