Dr. Howard Jay Rubenstein, MD

New patient. Had an appointment today @2:45pm and was told (to my face) that my medicine will be called in. Here it is 7:40pm and my local pharmacy still haven't received a call in. Needless to say they just lost this patient, really needed the medicine. That was the purpose for doctor's visit and paying a copay. WILL NOT RECOMMEND very unprofessional and no excuse for them not doing their job.

No professionalism the staff acts as if they don’t care about u or your issues to say the least.... If you have any other option find somewhere else to go

I just would like to say that my recent visit with my family physician was great. I have seen Dr. Rubenstein as well as his midlevel providers, although some visit did take a little longer than others-my fault not theirs-my overall experience was great. I have always been greated with a good morning/afternoon by the front staff, takin back in a timely manner , was processed by the medical assistants with great care and then promptly seen by my provider. All of my issues were addressed with care. I have been a patient at this clinic since 2004 and yes they have gone through many changes but they have always treated me and my family with genuine care and concern. Know everyone has a bad day know and then and so you may not get the, happy go lucky attitude ,every time but you have to understand you don't know what may be going on with that person at that time and you may be able to tell that they person may have something on their mind,but even with saying that I have never been treated… badly. I do know that they get very busy at times and can seem overwhelmed but I have no complaints.

Dr. Rubenstein is actually hardly ever in the office. He has physician's assistants doing all of his diagnosing and recommendations. I was supposed to get a cancer screening appointment and the office staff said they would call with my referral. It has been 2 weeks. I called them and there is no record that I was supposed to get a referral. I have had several cardiac referrals before and it is always this same birth-giving process to actually get an appointment made. Once the referral appointment is over, I never get a call or notification to go over the test results. THEY DO NOT CARE!!!! If you require prompt medical care I would recommend not using this facility.

Dr. Rubenstein was very through. He spent a lot of time listening to me and it's clear he honestly cares about his patients. His staff was very courteous. The CRNP was great as well. I feel very blessed to have found such a kind, knowledge and caring physician.

I am still waiting on a PA for my prescription, that was called in the first week of February. These people do not follow up. I even seen one of the PA on the 10th who assured me they were going to get right on it that day.that was after already a week of waiting. Today is the 19th still no PA for meds..

I have used Dr. Rubenstein since I was 9 years old and I am now in my late thirties. He is the best and I just love him. Staff is always attentive and getting an appointment is never a problem. If Dr R is booked, I have confidence in the abilities of his physicians assistants to take care of whatever I'm there for. I highly recommend!

Would highly recommend.

The nurse who dealt with securing permission from my health insurance to pay for my prescription medication was ineffective and slow compared with the staff of my specialist who got the medication approved easily.
