Dr. Howard Arthur Rubinstein, MD

I took my son to urgent care and they wanted to give me a nurse practitioner. I demanded a dr. and finally after long wait got Dr. Rubestein. He quickly told my son he had a sinus infection and gave him an antibiotic. My son actually had pneumonia and because of Dr. Rubinstein misdiagnosing it we waited a whole extra week to get him the right antibiotic (as the one he gave for sinus did not help at all) In his defense, 3 days after we saw him we went to our regular doctor who did not change medicine or do anything different. When you look online my son had every exact symptom of pneumonia--very high fever (which maybe Dr. Rubinstein would have been aware of how high if he had even bothered to take his temperature--they didn't at the visit--although we told him. My son had chills, fast breathing, sudden onset--etc etc. Finally a week after we saw the doctor we went for 3rd visit and finally our regular dr. said to get chest x ray which confirmed double pneumonia. So not a fan of… Dr. Rubinstein--pneumonia can be very dangerous--and also changing my regular Dr. Textbook case of pneumonia--every symptom was there--they both should have caught is sooner.

Nice man but looks like its time for him to retire.
