Dr. Howard Allen Sackel, MD

Dr. Sackel is the best doctor ever!!!! I've been a patient of his for 11 years. I can't think of one time I've seen him and he was not smiling. He takes the time to really listen and is very helpful. He knows nephrology and is excellent at what he does. The wait time others have described is because this is such a rare specialty in the Orlando area. The number of people with kidney problems is growing tremendously. Nephrology and Associates are doing what they can to accommodate the many patients they have, I don't think it's an issue of Dr. Sackel time management, he's simply trying to cater to everyone's needs. He has had several nurses and I have liked many of them, but man oh man..... The last one he had before the current one was by far the absolute BEST!!!! I can't even describe to you how great she was. I understand the was moving, but man do I hate she had to go.

I've been seeing Dr. Sackel for over 20 years. Although you may have to wait a while in the office, he is so worth it! He really cares about his patients and is one those special doctors that puts his patients above everything else. He is very thorough and focused on each person. He or his nurse always call me back right away if I have a question outside of my appointment time.

Excellent personalty and demeanor for times that are trying for all members of family. You do not go into this alone and he and his staff are always right there.

Dr Sackel is an extremely conscientious and caring doctor who will take whatever amount of time with you that is necessary. He is very knowledgable about many facets of medicine related to your condition. One of the best doctors I have ever seem.

I have seen Dr. Sackel for approximately 8 years- although I have to wait it is worth having someone who cares about my overall health and follows up on all problems. He cares for the whole person-emotional, whats going on and if other health problems are going on he inquires about how they are resolving also.

- waited 4 hrs to see the dr to spend 10 minutes with him. - when asked whats the best time to make an appointment with him I was told "There isn't"- when calling to inform the nurse of reactions to medications,the tone of her voice was as if I wasn't being believed.-Dr kept looking at his BB whenever it would go off checking his mail instead of paying attention to me - the patient- provided dr with list of medications that I'm allergic to - so many I can't remember what reaction I've had so many - didn't look at it.
