Dr. Howard Ian Savage, MD

Looking at the categories of Awards & Recognition I would certainly recommend Dr. Howard Savage to be included in all four categories, namely Top Doctor, Super Doctor, Best Doctor and Top Doctor via two sources. After having cataract surgery on 11/29/2023 I can only reiterate some of the positive comments as expressed by what is seen as "What My Patients Say". . . . . Enough said on that positive note.

Dr. Savage did my Cataract Surgery on October 30, 2023. He made me feel comfortable and was a very caring doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I was suffering from blurry vision and Dr SAavage informed me that I had cataracts in both eyes. He gave me time to make up my mind about having them removed. Once I decided he scheduled my procedure!! Because of the comfort I felt talking to him I decided to do both at the same time and boy am I glad!!! I can see "clearly now" thanks to him and his team!! Nothing but love for Doc!! 70 Years Old - 20/25 & 20/20 after 1st 24 hours....

I had catarac surgery on Sept 8 2023, before my surgery Dr. Savage came in and went everything he was going to do, and during the surgery he let me know everything he was doing, very through and professional had follow up the next day (which was a saturday) went over all instructions with me. Dr. Savage is the person to go to should you need cataract surgery. He is very welcoming and certainly knows his job and how to handle his patients. Dr. Savage performed my cataract surgery on September 5; demonstrating a high sense of professionalism, being very warm in receiving patients, and explaining how the procedure would go. These quickly put one at ease (allaying any real or potential fears one came with). The postop meeting was even more assuring as he explained every step of the postop and aftercare procedures. Thank you Dr. Savage and the wonderful team you work with. Please, yours is not just a profession, it is a service to humanity.

Dr. Savage preformed my surgery on July 14, 2023. His caring and understanding relieved my anxiety and his expertise made the surgery a success. I am fortunate to have Dr. Savage as my doctor.

I had a very successful cataract surgery performed by Dr. Savage on June 19, 2023. I was made to feel comfortable before and during the operation. Clearly, Dr. Savage showed his expertise as I had very little pain during the surgery. He called me later in the evening to find out how I was doing. I sincerely appreciated this act of care and support. I recovered nicely snd was able to drive my car only after 12 hours. The follow up visit went on very well with clear instructions on administering all the medications given to me. I thank Dr. Savage and his team at Largo Center for taking good care of me.

If you need to receive all the answers about your eye surgery in an honest and caring way then he can do it and does it so that your anxiety is almost gone. I am recovering as expected and I am so pleased to have had his expertise and eye care.

Dr. Salvage is one of the top and best Ophthalmologist I know in the Mid-Atlantic Area. I had cataract surgery performed by him twice. Left eye in 2014 and right eye in 2022. As usual, my surgery was flawless. He provided before and after care in a very professional and courteous manner, with total respect for me as his patient. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the surgery and that I understood what was happening during each step of the procedure. I cannot say enough how kind and thoughtful Dr. Savage is. Once the surgery was successfully completed, I left feeling satisfied and happy that I had a surgeon like Dr. Savage. He followed up with me during my next day post-op appointment and provided further instructions for aftercare at home and if I had any problems to immediately call him. I would definitely recommend Dr. Salvage to others in a heartbeat.
