He has professional hospital and administrative appointments at Rochester General Hospital, Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital and Unity Hospital all located in Rochester, NY. He has membership in the American Medical Association, New York State Medical Society, Monroe County Medical Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has been involved in Neurosurgical Resident training from 2000 until the present. Dr. Silberstein operated on 25 children with central nervous system tumors over the past year. He has extensive experience in resection of tumors located in eloquent regions of the brain and spinal cord. Dr. Silberstein utilizes state of the art technologies: operating microscope, endoscopy and neuronavigation in the surgical treatment of children with brain tumors.
