Summary
Since 1981, Primary Care Pediatrics has been the main focus in Dr. Howard Stang's practice. He has special interests in sports medicine, orthopedics, skin diseases, developing patient education materials, and newborn care. Dr. Stang is also involved in clinical research in addition to chairing the Clinical Research Subcommittee of the HealthPartners Research Foundation (HPRF), and sitting as the Vice-chair of the HPRF Research Committee.
Howard was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and trained for his pediatric career at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (medical School), and completed his pediatric residency at the Universites of Utah and Minnesota. His wife is an RN at a same day surgery center and together they have raised three great children.
In his (spare) time, Howard really enjoys his family, his home, sports, woodworking, photography, gardening, and volunteering.
