Dr. Howard James Stanton, MD

Dr. Stanton is a great doctor, he took great care of my husband last yr, and sent him to Ruby Memorial to have his open heart surgery. Then I became sick this yr and he has taken excellent care of me . I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for my husband and myself.. He is a very knowledgeable doctor, and he takes time with you... He cares about his patients... We highly recommend him

I just had two stents put in yesterday. Dr. Stanton was amazing. He has a great bed side manner and he is a terrific doctor. I would recommend him to everyone. CMAC Hospital was also very good to us.

Very good interventionalist, but doesn’t do well with patients. As long as one doesn’t need an insurance authorization, then all is well. However, don’t expect for him to have a member of his team to take a minute or two to perform this task. In addition, don’t expect him to care what your hospital bill looks like. Furthermore, don’t ask questions or be an active participant in your own health care decisions. His patients rarely see him except before a cath, during and after. Dr. Stanton was my cardiologist for years until a few days ago and all I can say is that all trust in this man is gone. I have had issues with his temperament before, but no longer will I accept being talked to and about in an inappropriate manner.

He did stents on my husband.

As a recovering cancer patient, I was referred to Dr Stanton by my primary physician for a stress test. As it turned out, he diagnosed a number of issues that no one else had identified or addressed. For those issues not in his areas of expertise, I was referred out by him. He’s highly competent and thorough. There might be more time in the waiting room than expected, but he’s worth the wait. Be a patient patient!

Great physician, extremely talented, great knowledge, exceptional bed side manners. I became a patient of his almost immediately after he started his practice in Charleston. Totally trust his judgment.

Appointment at 1045hrs and arrived 20 min early. Waited over 1 hour to get checked in. 1st appt. was awesome but the f/u was terrible. Considering canceling appt. still waiting.

I learned more about me than I ever had before with a cardiologist. Very thorough and cognizant of the fact that I'm not a cardiogist and need plain speaking to understand all he had to say. I felt extremely at ease in putting my health in his hands. Everyone I dealt with in the office was very professional and comfortable to deal with.
