Dr. Howard Martin Weinstein, MD

He did so much damage by doing an unnecessary hysterectomy on me in 1989, and I told him that my husband and I would have paid him not to do what he did. His response was "This is the end of this; isn't it?" I told him that I didn't know, that I thought he was a loose cannon! He, knowing that I had a family history of breast cancer, pit me on estrogen replacement. When I told him before I took the replacement hormones, he said, "Well, you'll be looney tooney, if you don't take it." I developed breast cancer twice while taking the replacement! Thanks to two other good doctors, who were horrified at what had happened to me, i survived, but he never explained his malpractice! It caused much suffering for an entire family.

Ask if he has been sanctioned? Has he been sued?

Performed an unnecessary historectomy and opphetectomy in 1989. Forged documents and altered documents trying to hide the errors. Go to Dept. Of Health Records for more info. Be careful! Find anothet doctor!

I have been going to Dr Weinstein for 21 yrs. He has delivered both my children. Very straight forward and tells it how it is. I love him!

I've been going to him for 16 years and he has changed. He is rude and condescending. I left his office in tears. I have less than a month left of my pregnancy so I'm seeing the other doctor for the rest of my pregnancy and will then switch ob/gyn's. I would not recommend him.

If you want a OB office that feels like a business transaction, and is not personable by any means, this is the place for you! Let's just say throughout my pregnancy, they lost my initial paperwork twice, vaguely answered any questions I had, we're not accommodating and cooperative with scheduling appointments, the secretary and nursing staff was unprofessional (I actually heard them get into an argument about me from the waiting room before they brought me in for a appointment), they are apparently very unconcerned with whether or not their pregnant patients get a flu shot (as they never asked...then I asked them, said I'd get it my next appointment, and they never followed up, so I got it on my own), do not follow or recommend current CDC standards regarding TDAP (also got that on my own), do not update charts accordingly..as I had to tell them two or three occossions I got my shots..to which the different doctors I saw said "they'd update it on my charts", and Dr. Weinstein… apparently is very trigger happy to send you to L&D to be induced immediately without walking you through anything beforehand and giving you information on what would happen in L&D. Also, from the beginning, I was told my due date was A certain date and no one ever told us otherwise, then when the secretary was filling out my STD paperwork, she wrote a different due date which I told was wrong, to be told that it was changed unbeknownst to me. Well I changed everything up at work, as did my husband, then a month later I was looking at my paperwork at the end of an appointment and saw "EDD" with my original due date that the Dr. Had written. At that point I asked the secretary why it said that, she looked at the computer, called the nurse over who confirmed it was my due date, so I had to go back to work and change everything back to my original plans! Because of them, my last couple of weeks of pregnancy were very stressful and full of anxiety as I had BP issues, but there was no care taken to explain what this means, what the weeks would look like around monitoring it, what might potentially happen based the results of appointments, etc. It was very cold and impersonal experience with them throughout my pregnancy; my husband knew it, and I knew that I felt the need to change OBs several times throughout my pregnancy, but unfortunately, did not, as i am a FTM and was unsure if it would be different at other places (which know I know, I can me much different). By the time I had to deliver, I had zero trust for this practice, and was so thankful for the nurses at the hospital as i found their presence more comforting, and had more confidence in them, than the presence of the practice I'd seen for nine months.

26 years ago Dr weinstein treated me for an ovarian cyst by performing a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy, both unnecessary. Prior to surgery he told me that he was doing a laparoscopy. After surgery he changed dates on.medical documents in an effort to justify the unneeded radical surgery. He was disciplined by the ny health department! Check his history on the NY state health dept. Website! I would not trust him. Get a second opinion...please!

Scheduling was a nightmare. Canceled on me, booked at wrong location. Bad Service.

I have known Dr.Weinstein for 33 years. He is a wonderful physician and a caring, compassionate person.

Although I like the Dr.s that are in this practice, I do not appreciate having to wait an hour to see them for a 15 min. visit. This has happened on more than one visit. I have never been seen within 15 min. of my set appointment time.
