Helped me get off drugs and depression

I could not disagree more with the previous review. by R.B. This psychiatrist knows NOTHING about women with Borderline Personality Disorder. NOTHING. All he does is make it worse. Affirms the entitlement and portrayal as the victim. He acts unethical by writing letters on behalf of patients affir . ming their distorsions and encouraging lying.

Over the past 30 years I have had at least 4 to 5 psychotherapists or psychiatrists (this is NYC!), and Dr Welsh has helped me far more than anyone else to get to the core of what is ailing me mentally, understanding it and helping me (not telling me) work through it. He has been kind, emphatic and impressive. His personal achievements speak for themselves and underpin his natural gifts as someone who understands the human brain. He is very Freudian, FYI, and that works for me. I couldn't recommend him more highly. Last, he is also a great psychopharmacologist and his approach to medicine is measured and thoughtful: he knows his field!
