Summary

About Me

I grew up in the Bay Area very close to where I work now in Walnut Creek. I entered into the profession of medicine as a young adult from a Public Health perspective. I was employed by the San Francisco Department of Public Health for four years before going to medical school. I attended medical school in Los Angeles and went to the East Coast for residency & fellowship training. I spent several years in private practice before returning to my home in the Bay Area.

I see medicine as the ultimate career for someone who values helping people get well and staying well. It allows for the integration of scientific and medical training with the practice of people skills.

I enjoy interventional radiology, in particular, because it is a hands-on specialty that combines the implementation of cutting edge technologies with creative innovation. Much of what we offer to our patients today through minimally invasive procedures were not even conceived of until fairly recently. It is an exciting time to be in medicine, especially interventional radiology.

My main professional interests are in : 1) Vascular interventions including Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), carotid stenting, and venous ablations, 2) Gynecological interventions, specifically Uterine artery embolization (UAE) for women with symptomatic fibroid disease, 3) Spinal interventions and pain alleviation including vertebroplasty for osteoporotic compression fractures, and 4) Oncologic interventions including hepatic chemoembolization, radiofrequency tumor ablation, and other regional cancer therapies.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, bicycling, and spending time with my family. My hobbies include woodworking, horticulture, and photography.

I thank you for allowing me to participate in your health care.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
