Dr. Chen graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Iowa with a degree in Biology and attended dental school at the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, she was honored for excellence in academics and comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Chen graduated in the top 10 of her class and was honored by being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the only national honor society for dentistry.
In 2001, Dr. Chen went into private practice as an associate dentist in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Chen also teaches both clinical and science courses in Oral Pathology, Dental Pharmacology, and Periodontology at Chabot College Dental Hygiene School. She pledges to provide her patients and students with the most current dental information and practices.
Dr. Chen is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. She enjoys volunteering in Give-Kids-A-Smile programs …and school presentations. In her spare time, Dr. Chen is kept on her toes by her daughter, Abby. Both of them enjoy classical music, art, and the wonderful outdoors.
