Horrible man!!!!!

PATIENT RIGHTS Very Arrogant Doctor I see that so many of us have encountered an arrogant or egotistical doctor Hugh Miller. If he deserves such a title. He comes across as mightier-than-thou, seems brusque, superior or conceited as if we are supposed to feel lucky simply to be in this person's presence, or fearful enough that we had better not cross him. When we aren't feeling well, which of course is the reason we are visiting this individual, to begin with, then facing such a big personality left me feeling intimidated, angry, frustrated, & a host of other negative emotions, none of which is helpful for improving my health at all. My husband and I both couldn't believe how terribly rude this man was? For some reason he kept implying that all I wanted was medication for pain. Quit the contrary. My mother was addicted to pain meds back in the 70s and I watched her suffer terribly because the Doctors handed them out like candy then. I swore I would do everything in my power… to never let a Dr.do this to me. I barely allow myself to take IB prophen as often as it says to. He assumed my intentions and insulted me. He did absolutely nothing as a so called Doctor, except cause me more grief on my apt. In 2018. If you have an apt. With him I would definitely recommend rescheduling with another Dr. It is your right to refuse to see this Dr. Just like it is their right to refuse to see us, for that matter. I thought Doctors become Doctors in order to help people with their health issues.. .Not traumatize them for Gods sakes. Dr. Hugh Miller you are a disgrace to NNA . Alot of people connect 1 Doctors to the whole organizations reputation. So NNA better take these real reviews seriously.

I saw Hugh Miller more that a year ago. This year I cancelled my appointment the day before because I could not bear to sit there with him not paying attention to what I’m saying, the put downs and blowing me off. He didn’t address any of the issues that I was having AT ALL! I cried all the way home, inconsolable crying. Oh, and they wouldn’t let me make an appointment with any other neurologist in that practice. The receptionist told me that I could go somewhere else.

My sister, who lives in a very small city about a 2 hr. drive from Akron, was looking for a second opinion of her tremors. Since I'm a retired Nurse Practitioner, she asked me to find a doctor for her. I went with her and her husband to see Dr. Miller 2 days ago, and we all 3 just loved him. From the time he walked into the office he was very engaging, friendly, and took the time to really listen to my sister and her husband. I was very impressed with his history and physical exam, which is extremely important in the practice of medicine. My sister had a disc of an MRI she had obtained, and Dr. Miller explained that he had to go out to another computer to read it and take a few minutes to record his notes. Upon return he sat down to discuss his findings and recommendations. Again, he took the time to thoroughly answer all of our questions, and even listened to a few stories my sister's husband told about her and their dogs. I had seen the negative reviews Dr. Miller has received… prior to the visit and found him to be totally different than depicted. I would highly recommend Dr. Miller, as would my sister and brother-in-law, and hope that people keep an open mind if considering an initial or follow-up exam.

Nov. 16, 2018 Having previously know Dr Miller's abrupt manner, our 3rd appointment with my brother was a surprise and a pleasure to see Dr. Miller take the time to answer our questions and actually seeing smiles in the room.

Do you have an appointment with Miller? Cancel and make an appointment with ANY other neurologist in the area. Not only is Miller incredibly uncaring and inconsiderate his practices are borderline malpractice. Medicine is more than diagnosis and walk away, Miller could not care less about your personal wellbeing or how your diagnosis may impact your life or your family's life. He makes no effort to help you, he simply diagnoses (sometimes correctly) and sends you on your way. For anyone dealing with neurological issues, please do yourself and your family a favor and visit another doctor and another practice.

I read reviews about him online, so I knew the consultation was going to be a fluke.. but I thought otherwise until we talked after he was done writing on his laptop. Has no compassion for his patients and wanted me to be relieved that after looking at my MRI, my mild brain condition wasn’t causing any symptoms and they are being caused by migraines and vertigo!!

He blamed all my problems on taking 1 Vicodin a day. I can’t take anti inflamatories due to stomach bleeds. He got my pain management doctor fired and I’m left with nothing. I have decided to not have my pacemaker battery replaced because dying is better than living in chronic pain He seems to hate women especially and his job. Retire and do everyone a favor

Hugh Miller. I would not recommend him to see a dog let alone a human. He enjoys treating people like they are ignorant! his job is to give a opinion of what a person has not to treat them disrespectful he is not professional he has to much of a personal opinion! This guy has an ego the size of King Kong!! I can only hope he reads these reveiw. When you call to make an appt all the others doctors are booked up for months but Hugh Miller is always available. Also the front desk receptionist was very bad snapping at older people that could not hear and she had to repeat rolling her eyes acting like she was annoyed!!

Saw D. Miller and was pleased with my Visit. He did a very good job. He cares about his patients I give Him a 5 star rating
