Dr. Hugh Pinkney Oshields, MD

Dr O'Shields is a very dedicated doctor with an unbelievable bedside manner. After going through a situation lately, he provided comfort and relief to a confusing situation. Very fortunate to have been provided him.

Dr. Shields was compassionate and caring during my Mother's final days, and our family will be forever grateful. He went above and beyond.

Dr. O'Shields is the best hands down. I have been a patient of his for 20 plus years. There has never been a situation where he has not diagnosed my problem right off. His bedside manner is off the charts. Well spoken, polite, knowledgable and highly concerned for his patients. I would most definately suggest you try using him as your doctor.

Had the flu. Tried to get in that day could not see me until the next week. He is by appointment only. Does not take walk ins. As for as him as a doctor. Never got to meet him. Had to find another dr

Seems to move his office alot. Unable to get an actual person on the phone. Called to get refill because I was out of b/p medicine. After 3 days later still wasn't called in. I called and pharmacy called office. Called again on a Friday morning. There office was closed. I really like him as a doctor when I'm in the office. But other than that the rest of it is extremely poor. Very in organized and incompetent with running the office in relation to patient call backs and issues. I've been in the medical field for over 20 yrs. I've never had an issue to where you couldn't get a live person answer the phone in a doctors office. How sad is that?!!

I have been seeing Dr. O'Shields for over 15 yrs or so. My whold family sees him and is very please with him and would not see anyone else. I highly recommend him to anyone.

The man is a godsend. I had spent years with other Dr's and they could never find the problem. It took the man 1 1/2 weeks. The find the problem. I own this man my life. Very professional and personal. He wants to know his patients. He is the real Dr House without the attitude. I can't say enough about Dr Oshields. He has a pure talk any and a gift.

He is an excellant physician however he is in such high demand by his patients it is hard to get an appointment with him. After seeing my physician for 18 years I was forced to find another doctor when he moved to a different part of the state. I changed to Dr.O'Shields since he just opened a new location at St Vincent's East.I really liked him and liked his knowledge and bedside manner. He didn't stay at that location but a year. Now I am forced to find another doctor since he went back to his Norwood Clinic location. Other than that my only complaint is just to get an appointment for a yearly physical the average wait time was one year in advance.
