Dr. Huiting Chen, MD, RPVI

Dr. Chen is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Michigan State University. Dr. Chen attended Rice University in Houston, Texas for an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. She went on to earn her medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then completed her residency in integrated vascular surgery at the University of Michigan Health System, receiving the Greenfield Resident Research Award in 2013. Additionally, Dr. Chen participated in the Ethicon Endo-Surgery Surgical Educational Research Fellowship through Association of Surgical Education’s SERF Program in 2014. Since residency, Dr. Chen has served as a vascular surgeon with Sentara Vascular Specialists in Norfolk, Virginia. Most recently she served as a vascular surgeon and director of vascular imaging at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.
Dr. Chen serves as an assistant professor of surgery in MSU’s College of Human Medicine providing care for MSU Health Care Surgery. …She has special clinical expertise in peripheral arterial disease, venous disease (including Deep Venous Thrombosis and varicose veins), carotid disease/stroke prevention, aortic aneurysms, and dialysis access creation/salvage. Additionally, Dr. Chen’s research interests include surgical education and curriculum development.
