Dr. Huma Jawed Alam, MD

I have been taking my four children to Dr.Alam for several years now, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care her and her office provide. Dr. Alam is not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly compassionate and patient with kids of all ages. She always takes the time to listen to our concerns and explain everything clearly, which puts both me and my children at ease. The entire staff is friendly and efficient, making each visit smooth and stress-free. It’s reassuring to know that my children are in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend Dr.Alam to any family looking for a trustworthy and attentive Doctor

I am so very annoyed with one of her staff members Mayra I believe her name is she is so rude and unprofessional. Every time I call to try and set up appointments she said Dr is booked and will not offer me any open days.. Alondra in the other hand she is Awesome she goes way out of her way to try and help others she is super friendly and knows everyone ! she makes patients feel welcomed and always asks how you are doing

I have only seen Dr. Huma Alam a couple times. She was very thorough and efficient. She did not try to rush me in and rush me out. She seemed to be very concerned with my medical situation/concerns. Despite my anxiety of having to visit any doctor for any reason, I felt very comfortable with this doctor.

Dr. Huma Alam is the worst doctor I have ever been to. I left her office with her saying she would immediately (as in that same day) fax over two prescriptions for me to two different pharmacies (one was a mail order) plus give me a referral to a specialist. One week later, and neither pharmacy had received the prescriptions. I left about 8 messages between both her Aurora and Plano offices, and not once did I receive a phone call back. Finally, after OVER a week, I got the prescriptions. Oh, but not quite! Because one of the prescriptions she sent had incomplete information and the pharmacy couldn't fill it. I finally got a hold of a live person, which seems almost impossible to do, and left yet another message with them. Finally, it was straightened out. Oh, but still not quite. Dr. Alam said she would give me 5 refills for one of the prescriptions. Guess how many she gave me? One. Oh, and that referral to the specialist? Never got it. Never in my life have I been treated with such… complete disregard by a physician. My first few phone calls were nice too, but by the 8th message I admit I was a little upset. Can you blame me? Why couldn't they return my phone calls just once? Anyhow, I'm changing doctors ASAP. Will get the referral from someone else, and worry about refills from a different doctor later. I will never see this doctor again. Worst doctor ever.

I started seeing Dr. Huma Alam about one year ago, before her I had another physician. I always felt the other physician was lacking the kind of empathy I was looking for in a physician. I found Dr. Alam to be extremely caring and affectionate person. She spends ample amount of time with me, she is very attentive to the needs of her patients and tries to go above and beyond the call of duty to help her patients. I found her manners to be highly professional. Her office staff has been well trained and has guided me well on several occasions. I always receive phone reminders once test results get available. I feel extremely lucky that I found Dr. Alam and have been highly recommending her to everyone else around me.

When I first met Dr. Alam she seemed like she was a nice person. After coming to her office at least five to seven times a couple of times just to get results of over a years time period, I found her to be distracted during my visits. She did not follow common procedures such as washing her hand before and after leaving the room. Her staffed seemed to occupied to adequately perform their duties as well. Their way of preserving a patients bodily fluid was unethical for a medical practice. Overall I had to hurried to change doctors and I hope that no one else will become a victim of her mistakes. She give me another patients test results and I went through a week of stress behind her mistake. This maybe more likely to happened in a big facility but should have definitely not happen in such a small office if their practices were up to code.
