Dr. Humaira Hashmi, MD

Dr. Hashmi was amazing - she was very professional and personable and did a great job with our infant who had a milk protein allergy. We successfully overcame and grew out of the allergy, and therefore were discharged. While we will miss Dr. Hashmi and the rest of the amazing staff at WNYPG, we certainly won't miss the allergy issues! We would highly recommend this practice to anyone who needs their services.

She is compassionate and you know she enjoys helping her patient's. I am truly confidence in her treatment plan for my child. We have made many strides in my childs health. Dr. Hasmi takes on the family as well as the child. I wouldn't go to any other place for GI with my child. Thank you

My daughter was diagnosed with Failure to Thrive at 11 months old and no one could figure out (or agree on) exactly why she was refusing bottles and foods and therefore, not gaining weight. After being given horrible advice by a local GI doctor who told me it was purely behavioral and to stop all reflux meds (....an 11 month old choosing not to eat because she's stubborn?!), I sought a second opinion from Dr. Hashmi. I wasn't sure about driving 40 minutes to a city that I had no other business in, but it turns out that deciding that the drive was worth it was the absolute best choice was the turning point for my daughter's health. Dr. Hashmi was very proactive and immediately changed my daughter's meds and ordered several tests to confirm what she suspected was going on. She got her back on track and monitored her very closely. When my daughter had a victory, it was also a victory for Dr. Hashmi Her genuine relief and excitement could be felt in the room. To me, that shows how… committed she is to her patients. What I love most about Dr. Hashmi is how available and accessible she is. She is very responsive on the patient portal - which has been such an amazing tool. When a round of my daughter's test results came back with alarming results, she called me and talked me through what they meant and what we needed to do next. She has even called me to discuss a question I had submitted to her on the patient portal. She is a rarity, an absolute gem. I would travel hours for her to treat my child. My daughter just "graduated" after being treated by Dr. Hashmi for 2 years. She is now growing and healthy and I attribute that to Dr. Hashmi.

We love Dr. Hashmi! After months of trying to figure out what was going on with our 2 year old, she was quickly able to diagnose his constipation and help us help him. She did an amazing job quickly gaining his trust, and he actually enjoys going to see her! She's knowledgeable, professional, and extremely approachable. We just graduated and our son is happy and healthy!Thank you so much for everything!

Dr Hashmi is the best thing that happen to our family. She is very caring and extremely knowledgeable. We graduated from needing her in 2 short years. I don’t know what I would have done without her medical care for my child. Highly recommend her to any young child that needs GI help.

I took my teenage daughter to see Dr. Hashmi for unexplained weight loss and chronic stomach aches. She was so thorough and really took the time to get to know my daughter and her symptoms. She was able to determine that my daughter was lactose intolerant and causing her symptoms. My daughter is doing great now and is so thankful for Dr. Hasmi. She genuinely cares for her patients and is great with kids!
