Dr. Humaira Anjum Mahmud, MD

Dr, MahmUd is my mother's kidney doctor. My mom is 93. Dr. Mahmud treats her with respect and not as an elderly person. She is a brilliant doctor and the most compassionate, concerned doctor I have ever been to.When my mom's kidneY function dropped suddenly, Dr, Mahmud went through her medical record, including a review of a head MRI and pacemaker that was put in 6 months prior. She spoke to my mother's cardiologist to explain why her blood pressure needed to be higher, rather than lower to preserve her kidneys. She called me over the weekend to explain why she thought her kidney function had decreased and what we need to do to keep my mom stable. I am so very thankful and appreciative to have her looking out for my mom's wellbeing. She is honest, humble, and leaves no stone uncovered. I highly recommend her to anyone with kidney issues.

I am writing this for my mother who sees Dr. Mahmud for kidney issues. Dr. Mahmud is an excellent doctor. She is thorough, kind, compassionate and takes the time to answer all your questions. She is exceptional, incredibly bright and honestly I wish all doctors were like her. She leaves no stone unturned in her assessments to determine the best treatment for her patients. My mom has seen other kidney doctors before and there is no comparison to the care she receives from Dr. Mahmud. Sometimes the wait time is long but that is because she takes as much time as needed for each patient. I highly recommend her. .

I have by my own fault taken to long to give this review. I have, as well as my mother, been patients of Dr. Mahmud's for approx. 7 years. In this time we have witnessed the most professional excellence, and brilliance a doctor can display. But beyond this we have also seen in Dr.Mahmud the most compassionate and caring individual interested in all aspects of her patience's well being. I am not one to throw around compliments such as this, but I mean every word I say 100%. As you can see above the 2 categories she has scored under the excellent mark are, ease of appointment and promptness. The reason for these marks only complement her more. The lack of promptness is a reflection of the amount of time and personal care she gives to each patient. Ease of appointment shows she is highly sought after. I could go on and on with personal stories to further back up what I have stated in this review, but I believe seeing for yourself is believing. I want to add one more thing...Cauline,… Dr Mahmud's right arm in the front office compliments her practice perfectly. She is consistently on the ball, helpful and always friendly. Thank you ladies for all you do, and have done for my family. We love you.
