Dr. Humam Hadi Akbik, MD

I took my mother to Dr. Akbik many, many times for all sorts of treatments for her back pain. He gave her pills, patches, and spinals. Nothing he did offered any relief. So, we did not return to his office.

Not sure how good he is. I never got in to see him. Tried for four days. Nobody returned phone calls. Service ws terrible

Dr. Akbik is very caring, funny and has excellent customer skills. He clearlynis very experienced and knows his art well. Thank you Dr. Akbik. I did have a little set back with a few office staff members. I hope it will be viewed as a missunderstanding? -Dan Quenneville

Dr. Akbik is by far the best pain management physician in Cincinnati. His private practice is very professional. He/s the most caring physician you could ask for besides being so highly technically skilled.

If all the articles plastered on the walls about this man being a top doctor are correct (this opinion based on personality and personal results) then I'll seek the bottom doctors.

Dr. Akbik May get some reviews he is a good Dr, however the reviews he is uncaring, will strip you of pain meds and dehumanize you are all accurate. You will wait for hours, from your appointment time. When he finally comes I. The room, he will not even acknowledge your pretense , or ask how you are. He will start typing in his computer. If he can’t make money off you by doing procedures, wether you. Need them or not, or coerce you in to a spinal stimulator, which he makes 100k from, he will say he can’t help you. He is not interested in patients who truly need meds for pain management, he will not answer questions, he will not help you manage your pain, and several patients who also posted he will take away any pain relief medication you have been on and has worked for you is true. His staff are mean, downright nasty, and treat you like you are garbage, and will tell you if you are in pain or need help to go to the ER, he will not see you or give an earlier appointment. Everyone is… profiled as a drug seeker, unless you will agree to expensive procedures he can make a lot of money from. His personality is a minus zero. His nurse practitioner or physicians asst. does all his prescreening, they are young inexperienced and give inaccurate summary of your condition, they had all my test results, and still got it wrong. After a 3 hr wait for Dr. Akbik. He walked in didn’t acknowledge that my husband and I were sitting there, didn’t make any eye contact, sat down, got on computer and said, “So , did you fall?”, when all my information and been;repeatedly given to his lackeys, that I had complications from abdomin being crushed , duh ? I was flabbergasted. . Then he wanted to coerce me to the spinal stim unit. My surgeon had already told me it would not help the pain I have, they make a lot of money from it, and that is why they say you need it, there is a 95%fail rate btw. He would not prescribe the pain medication I needed, as I am very medication sensitive, then said ..he couldn’t help me , because I wouldn’t agree to a spinal stim. The whole experience was demeaning , dehumanizing, and demoralizing. Your psyche will be more damaged , do t put yourself thru the experience. Find a better pain management Dr. Chronic pain requires an honest and caring Doctor, and staff. This practice is not it!

Staff is horrible from first phone call to visit. His so called "nurse" clueless! Treats patients with no respect what so every, I guess if you have chronic pain, you are "trash" to them!!!

Great Doctor very experienced in Pain management. It's a team effort as a patient you have to do your part as well.

Very kind and patient doctor. Took time with me and offered me options for my issue. I had surgery and he is an excellent surgeon with good follow up. Office staff is kind and helpful.
