Dr. Humayun Mirza, MD

Much like the rest of these reviews, my experience with Dr. Mirza was phenomenal. He takes time with his patients and thoroughly explains everything. He is always available and makes sure the patient is comfortable with the assessment. I would recommend him and his care to others easily.

My appointment was at 10:30. I was taken back at 11. I asked the nurse if he was running late, as I had another appointment at 12:30. She said not really. By 11:45, after waiting almost two hours, I asked what was going on, as I had to leave at noon to make my other appointment. The nurse came in and said that he had just called and said he had been kept late at the hospital with another patient, he would see me in a few minutes. We were about to leave at 12:10 when the nurse said he was in the other room finishing up with the appointment before mine and he would be right in. He came in at 12:15, apologized for running late, spent five minutes listening to my heart and lungs and looking at my chart and said I sounded healthy he’d see me back in two months!!! I was a new patient for gods sake! We w3nt out to sign out and I was given a slip for bloodwork. They said to just call to set up the next appointment. I missed my other appointment, and had to pay for it as I hadn’t… cancelled it 24 hrs in advanced. Got home, called to schedule my next appointment with Dr Mirza and asked for a fist appointment so I wasn’t waiting all day again. The lady told me he didn’t have any morning appointments. I said, “he does mine was at 10:30 this morning.” She said, “ and what time did you actually see the doctor?” I said, “12:15.” She then told me he never even comes to the office before noon. So why did they schedule me for ten thirty if they know he won’t be there until noon? She said he makes them schedule early appointments. I said, so if I have a noon appointment, I’ll be seen at noon? She said no, he would see all the earlier scheduled people first, and then me at around 2-2:30. So the bottom line is, this doctor has ZERO respect for his patients time! He spent five minutes with a NEW patient with a history of blood clots in my lungs and legs. The man should NOT be practicing cardiology or medicine at all with this lack of respect, and having his nurses lie for him! I will NOT be returning to this practice!

Dr. Mirza takes care of my father, my husband and me. He is the best, absolutely. I am so glad my father recommended him to us. He has been through thick and thin with us and has always been the most caring and sincere doctor one could ever think of.
