Dr. Hursh S Naik, MD

Dr. Naik was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the results of my TEE and answered questions. He explained course of treatment to myself and my sons.

Doctor Naik is the first heart doctor to recommend a medication to improve blood flow. I am skeptical that it will fix the problem but it's worth a try. He was kind, knowledgeable and answered our questions. Hoping for resolution soon.

Dr. Naik is a phenomenal doctor. He took time answering all of my questions. He alleviated all of my stress. I will certainly recommend him to others!

I went to see him to get a leaking tricuspid heart valve repaired to get me off medication. He sent me to a electrophysiologist to get started and told me to my face twice that if he didn't fix the leak HE WOULD!! He promised to my face he would finish repairing the leak if it still leaked at all. Then he abandoned me when it leaks even worse than before. (And BTW he is full time at Abrazo, not Dignity). He still won't return my calls or my primary care doctors calls, he is protected from patients by his staff. It's been a horrible experience with him, DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH YOUR LIFE!!

To Whom It May Concern: In the Spring of 2019 I was residing in Norway. I was having difficulty breathing and sought medical assistance. After some false starts, I was finally diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The Norwegian doctors prescribed diuretics, which helped my symptoms but did not address the basic cause. Had I remained in Norway I would have been dead by now. Returning to Arizona, my wife researched several cardiologists, and “intuitively” picked Doctor Hursh Naik over several previously referred Cardiologists. Within the first five minutes after meeting him, Dr. Naik was able to pinpoint my problem as a failing Mitral Valve, and, after setting up tests to confirm this, recommended that I undergo a procedure that would install a Mitral Valve ‘clip’ to prevent blood from leaking back into my heart during contraction. Dr. Naik had been part of the early trials for this procedure (approved only 2 years prior), and I felt confident in his expertise. The procedure in… question involves penetrating the Mitral valve chamber, and ‘clipping’ together the ‘lips’ of the valve in the center of the lips. During the contraction phase, blood is pumped forward along the sides of the lips. When the heart muscle relaxes, the clip enables the valve to close, preventing blood from flowing backwards into the heart. Prior to this intervention, more than 60-70% of my blood was flowing backwards during contraction, explaining why I was too depleted of energy to dance with my beautiful wife. Prof. James R.
