Dr. Hussam Farhoud

Dr. Farhoud is an excellent cardiologist! I have been seeing him for 10 years after my heart attack. His staff is great too. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Farhoud was my mother's cardiologist. She hadn't seen him in 2 years when she started having issues again, and her pcp referred her to a different cardiologist. She is still having major blood pressure/heart problems close to 2 years later, so we see Dr Farhoud today. He tells my mother that he is not comfortable seeing her and is unwilling to look through the last 2 years of her medical issues, medicine and hospitalizations. He made it very clear that he was concerned about the medications she is currently taking! He was also unwilling to refer her to someone else! How can you call yourself a Dr and be completely unwilling to help someone who so obviously needs a good Dr?? You would think that coming across a patient who has a challenging case, a patient who has been struggling with her heart for the last 2 years, a patient who you could truly make a difference for.. you would think that as a Dr, those would be the patients you would get the most excited about. Not Dr Farhoud,… apparently he doesn't want to work that hard! I have never written a negative comment about a professional before but I am completely dumbfounded by what just occurred and honestly, so was his Physician Assistant. The look on her face mirrored my own! Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in a Dr`s office. Thanks for nothing, 3 people have to take time off work for a major Dr. appointment and the Dr. refuses to help! I'm truly disgusted!!

I saw him a month after getting out of the hospital for a triple bypass and valve repair. I had an allergic reaction to heparin during surgery which extenuated my health issues causing all my toes to be amputated. With this I had hoped for a little more attention because of the extra complications, didn’t happen, after first appointment my second was scheduled for 3 months later. I called 4 times with concerns on fluid build up, difficulty breathing, etc and all I ever got was the suggestion to go to the emergency room. Not once did he request to see me prior to the 3 months of my appointment. Very disappointed, I have become weaker since leaving the hospital and still nothing from the Dr.

I would like to express our sincere thanks for the excellent results of the surgery that my husband had while in the care of Dr. Hussam Farhoud, at Heartland Cardiology in Wichita. The surgery took place several years ago, and my husband's results have been phenomenal. Dr. Farhoud has a gentle spirit about him that puts his patients at ease. This is extremely important for the doctor-patient relationship, and also, for the patient's healing. We highly recommend Dr. Farhoud, as well as his knowledgeable staff, for their expertise in this very important area.

I have never been treated so terribly by a Dr in the 20 plus years I have been dealing with dr's would not answer a single question I had was in his office and when we called him to ask he hung up on my fiance that is not how I see a Dr should be also he did more boasting about himself than he did helping me he also made promises that he could not keep and sent me a letter saying he would no longer see me he sent the letter out before I even went to his office for a visit then at the visit said nothing to me about it still promising me he could do a heart transplant and had zero intentions of following through

Dr Farhoud is an excellent Dr and i highly Recommend him.He was quick to diagnose a Congestive Heart Failure on my Grandpa. 3 Years ago when other DRs gave up he kept working to help my grandpa when he was having a heart attack. Today He calls him his miracle patient. He has a wonderful bedside manor and you can see he cares about his patients. While he may not always have the thing you want to hear to tell you he does tell the truth and the honest truth. This time His general physician told him there was no hope and that things were winding down and to prepare. But when he went to see DR Farehoud he told him that there was hope and put him in the hospital for CHF and excess fluid around the heart. DR Farhoud told him he was very upset that this had not been diagnosed sooner and could not believe his DR had let him get this far without doing something. After 4 days in the hospital Dr Farhoud had my Grandpa feeling better then he had in months.I will never let my family see anyone else… for heart issues. He is a very gentle man full of life and smiling. He is very humble and is a christian as well.

He sat down and listened actually listened to me, he answered questions in such a manner that I could understand him. People I talked to would say you have a GREAT doctor; he is highly regarded in my circle of friends and co-workers. If you want someone that wont rush in and out, but will take the time to answer your questions; you better write them down though, I couldnt recommend a better doctor. He is sensitive to you and what is going on.
