Dr. Hussam Hajal, MD

The doctor relieved my worries about my mother's kidney problems. Unlike other nephrologists, he recommended a plan to preserve her kidney function, which in fact improved her kidney function also.

While the doctor was attentive and presented with a wonderful bedside manner, the staff left a lot to be desired. The receptionist left us waiting until we asked if there were papers to fill out because I was new. That was after being there 20 minutes and having signed in. We were in the waiting room an hour. The nurse that called patients in barely smiled and we waite over 40 minutes in the exam room. The doctor asked that I make a follow up appointment, and after minutes of standing at a counter with the receptionists back to me, I asked about making an appointment. She did not turn around and merely pointed to the next counter. She had seen us standing there by the way. No one asked if they could help me, if I needed anything. As a first time patient, the staff needs to give directives as I did not know the flow of the office. Once back in the waiting room, where my wife was waiting, I noticed that the lamps around her and TV were shut off. She was sitting in a darkened… area! She said the receptionist said it was late and she was leaving as she shut off several lighs. There were still 2 more people in the waiting room! This is inappropriate as most of your patients, myself included, are seniors. if it wasn't for the fact that the doctor comes well recommended, I'd be looking elsewhere and will speak to the doctor about his staffs presentation.

Dr. hajal is an amazing doctor. He is very caring, and caring his heart on his sleeve. There should be more docters like him.
