My mom met with Dr. Kang and within 10 mins he had decided that chemo was going to be done. There was no other option given to my mother. She did two sets of chemo and the smaller areas of cancer were not growing but the larger mass was. My mother has been in the hospital and was full code until Dr. Kang came in and told her that if they try anything else she won't make it and it would be best she do a DNR. How can a doctor suggest someone just give up and try to take away her will to live? My mother was so distraught and confused it took another doctor, friends, and family to talk to her and weigh the pros and cons. My mother didn't even fully understand the extent of what a DNR meant. Dr. Kang coerced my mother into basically giving up on her will to live. He has no remorse or compassion for anyone it seems. I cannot understand how he can treat someone either considering you wait hours for his appointment and then he spends 5-10 mins with you and then any other communication is… through his aid or whatever she is. Good luck getting in touch with him because if he's busy doing his own thing or on vacation because he "doesn't really get a vacation" be prepared to wait days and up to a week to have anything resolved. RIDICULOUS! He's part of the board at La Porte Hospital if that tells you anything as well....they just received a D grade.

First visit for my brother and we have been waiting for an hour. No explanation, no communication. He is in pain and there dies not seem to be any compassion.

My husband & I are very satisfied with Dr. Kang,he takes time to explain things to us.And is patient with us when we are asking questions.He makes sure we understand what he is telling us.
