Dr. I E Schifalacqua, MD

It was an old injury. Both joints in my toe had been broken. Dr. S said he could fix them. Took x-rays and he operated. 3 months later I was back and after he consulted his xrays he admitted that he only fixed one joint! My toe leaned to the right and was still twisted at the top. I paid for a second operation and asked him to again look at the first joint it didn’t seem right since he had to operate again. 3 months after that I went to an orthopedic surgeon and found out the first surgery didn’t repair that joint. The toe still sticks up and lays over the toe aside and if I want it to be fixed I need to go to a surgeon that cares enough to do a good job. Dr schifialqua wasted my time. I spent 6 months recovering from surgeries that he didn’t care enough to do right either time. I was a fool to trust him. His staff however are very nice.

I took my Son to Dr. Schifalacqua with foot main. My insurance won’t cover for X-ray in his office so I had it done at Reading Hospital. He wanted to repeat X-ray foot then I said my insurance won’t pay for it he said he is “doing X-ray for his records and won’t bill for it”those were his words. I got bill for X-ray obviously insurance did not pay for it. Called his office and talk to front desk whole thing she said she spoke to Dr and he said we are responsible for payment, I asked why did he lie to me? No answer. Being a Dr myself asked him to call me. She said he will. He never called me and got bill again. I feel I was cheating in this office being a Dr myself. Not sure how much he is doing cheating to our seniors in the area. He needs to be exposed.
