Dr. Ian Scott Elliot, MD

Was referred to this doctor when I called to make a appointment they asked me is there a referral I said yes gave me name and ss# then she said after all that he is not accepting new patients then why get my information also stated that he is retiring. Just Horrible service did not make sense. I hung up.

Saw Dr. Elliott for my thyroid issues. He initially told me that he had MANY options. Had skin reactions to each of three synthetic medications. He then told me to take the medication and see a dermatologist. Very unprofessional and uncaring! He clearly wants to retire!

Shot down my concerns and questions. Told me he didn't care what I did or didn't do!

He and his staff are friendly and efficient. He is thorough and asks relevant questions. He is extremely knowledgeable about all health problems because he is also an Internal Medicine physician although he only treats Endocrinology patients. He is very pleasant and never hurries through your appointment. I would give him a 10 if I could.

Terrible bedside manner; stuck in the past; find a doctor that will listen to you.

I have been through a battery of test between my PCP and an ENT. The ENT physician referred me to this practice thinking that I may have an issue with glands in my neck, weight gain and other metabolic issues. When I called with the referral I was told that they would not see me due to not having a diagnosis and that they were not in the business of weight gain / loss. That this would be a waste of the doctors time and mine. When I asked well if my PCP doesn't know and the ENT doesn't know where do you suggest I go, and she told me back to my PCP and make him dig deeper. Wow! Thanks for nothing and for saying that my case would be a waste of your time. Totally unprofessional phone manner and would never come to this practice if he was the last endo. on earth.

Well I found this Dr. online here and it clearly says that he's taking new patients but I called and spoke with a lady who answered the phone and she said that Dr. Elliot is Not taking patients with diabetes. Huh??? She gave no explanation or any information when he will start receiving new patients with diabetes. I told her I also have thyroid issues (hypothyroidism) and she said I'm sorry he's just not taking any patients with diabetes. I have to say, this webpage is very misleading.

Dr. Elliot is a very caring professional. He gives specific analysis of the situation in the diagnosis. Looks at additional testing for accuracy,
