Dr. Ian Michael Kodish, MD

In my opinion, the previous overwrought reviewer is wrong about this doctor's attitude, his dedication, his personality, his compassion, his competence (as well as his sexual orientation). You won't find a more decent person to care for your child. He is obviously willing to try to help in very difficult situations. I highly recommend hom.

My experience with this man started when my son was diagnosed with a horrible bone cancer (Ewing's sarcoma) and Ian Kodish was appointed as his psychiatrist. My son started going through intense chemo and radiation therapy in hopes of helping him to be cancer-free. For six months, Dr. Kodish did nothing to help my son's anxiety or depression until one day he up and said, "No one is ever going to cure your cancer, and you going to have it for the rest of your short life. So deal with it." My son just got up and left the room crying, and we immediately reported the incident to his supervisor. This is in no way discrimination as I have nothing against homosexuals. I have no problem with Ian Kodish's sexual orientation; what I had a problem with was his negative attitude and his overall arrogant manner. I would never recommend this man to anybody; in fact, I would warn anybody against having this horribly negative and stuck-up jerk of a psychiatrist.
