Dr. Ian M Ratner, MD

The worst bedside manner I have ever seen. This was 10 years ago at Texas Health Resource at Plano. We had a son at 25 weeks. We asked about the new scans of our son's brain. He was belligerent in his response. I asked to see the scans of it since another neonatologist has shown previous scans and explained what we were looking at. When we heard that there were new scans, we asked Dr. Ratner about them. He was very belligerent. He asked us why do we want to see it. He asked if I was a doctor and do I know what I am looking for or at. He said that I don't need to see it. His behavior was bad enough to gather the attention of several nurses in the area. Parents of a micro-preemie(s) are already stressed enough about the survival of their child(ren). We should not have to face such acrimonious behavior.
