Dr. Ibis Pena-Garcia, PhD

I have been a patient and referred family and friends through the years to Dr. Pena Garcia. She is a caring and dedicated professional that helped me as a patient to realize what I needed to work on. Dr. Pena-Garcia did not use a magic wand to fix my issues, she however gave me the tools to find a way to deal with very difficult situations. This doctor will work with you as a patient if you want to be helped. If you just want someone to agree with you and not help you face reality, this practice may not be what you need. I am grateful for the help that my family and I have received. It has helped me to have a successful career and maintain great relationships with family.

I went to Dr. Pena after a very traumatic experience. She was the right Dr. for me. During the 1st appointment the patient is to decide if he or she feels comfortable with the therapist. She helped me through the healing process and I am doing ok now.

Terrible, just terrible. She is insenstive, imposes her viewpoints unto the patient (which is against proper counseling training), and provides feedback that can be destructive to the patient. Please seek help from another therapist as I have encountered more than one patient that has told me about their negative experience with this “doctor” Garcia. She also doesn’t take ownership of her cases, even if the state mandates her cooperation. My goodness, everyone. Do yourself a favor and book another therapist/psychologist if you have had the misfortune of sharing a session with her. Your mental health will thank you in the future.

Doctor was sleeping and eating lays while I talked. She is rude. Make me feel worst than I was feeling, ....don't recommend.
