Dr. Ibrahim Hussain, MD

Dr. Hussain is truly a unicorn of a surgeon. I have never met a surgeon like him before..he is what every medical provider (surgeon or not) SHOULD BE. I have technically had four surgeries with Dr. Hussain within the last six months, with two procedures being done together each time, along with countless follow-ups. I quite literally trust him with my life, and I have said that to him countless times. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but what makes him so special is that he is also down-to-earth, honest, approachable, and, above all, human. He never makes you feel like just another patient or another surgery on his schedule. His DNP, Emily, is equally amazing. She is warm, kind, compassionate, down-to-earth, and incredibly responsive. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients, and that means so much when you're navigating complex medical issues. (They also very much understand Ehlers Danlos!) This is a very busy practice, but you would never know it from… the way they treat you. They take the time to actually listen, answer your questions, explain things, and make you feel cared for. That is incredibly rare. I truly hope I don't need another surgery for a very, very long time, but if I ever do, there is absolutely no question that I am going back to Dr. Hussain. I couldn't imagine being in better hands.

Dr Husain is a warm caring surgeon explaining the options I have to ease my back situation. Unfortunately he told me surgery in not an option for me and he recommended to get in touch with your pain clinic which I will do. Seeking a neurosurgeon for a difficult, life-altering surgery requires research. Dr. Ibrahim Hussain has an impressive resume, but I found few detailed reviews. I hope this helps others feel confident in their decision and gives him proper credit.Dr. Hussain treats patients like family. He reviewed my MRI/CT scans in advance, arrived with a clear plan, and took time to answer all questions without rushing. He explained risks and success probabilities clearly. His confidence gave my wife and me reassurance.Compared to my prior ACDF cervical fusion with another surgeon, my experience with Dr. Hussain was far superior. I was eating regular food the same day despite Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) Everything he explained was accurate. After a long surgical day ending around after 8 pm, he still visited to review the procedure and recovery plan.I am very grateful for the outcome and highly recommend him.Thank you Dr. Hussain (truly a top doctor!!)

I feel so lucky to have Dr. Hussain as my surgeon. He is very kind and compassionate - in addition to having excellent surgical skills. I see how the other staff respect him and want to make him proud, which makes being a patient an even better experience.

Dr. Hussain has demonstrated kind and patience service. During the consultation process he fully explained the problem and the procedure process he will conduct. During recovery in the hospital he made periodic visits checking my progress. He also made time explaining everything to my family. I would recommend Dr I. Hussain and his friendly staff.

I had an emergency admission to neuroscience at Weill Cornell after an MRI at their downtime facility, which showed that I had a subdural hematoma. Fortunately, Dr. Hussein was on duty that evening with with his wonderful bedside manner he explained the situation I was in and what he planned to do the next morning if I was willing to give the go ahead.. I was so put at ease by him and his honesty (including possible negative consequences …… the probability of a negative consequence was very very low and I had no problem believing that without only hesitation ) that I gave the go ahead without hesitation. So glad I did..! I had fallen 3 months earlier by slipping on the ice in VERMONT and hitting my head and had no idea that I had a brain bleed for three months. Before I was put under in the operating room, he was there with smiling face, reassuring me, and again when I I woke in my room after the operation.. I had a follow up visit with him this Monday and again was put at ease and… felt I blasted unfortunate. I was that he was my surgeon.
