Dr. Ibrahim H Sbeitan, MD

During a visit for a consult on a cancer diagnosis the physician did not relay information to the patient. Instead they spoke to the male spouse exclusively, leaving the actual patient feeling as if they were not heard and not cared for. This was in conjunction with the office not providing, an insurance covered, service that allows cancer patients to retain as much of their physical appearance as possible via scalp cooling.Due to these issues, the patient decided to locate an alternate medical oncologist within the same hospital group. After speaking with the main campus physician they committed to work hand in hand with Dr. Sbeitan and would request that his office supply some supplemental care to prevent additional trips to the main campus over an hour away. In retaliation to the transfer of care, the satellite office refuses to “take orders from another physician”. Overall I cannot recommend this physician that displays biases towards patients that advocate for themselves.

Dr. Sbetain was NOT honest with my husband, his stomach was full of cancer, he never once shared that, my husband was so sick, he wouldn't even give him anything for pain, when my hubby would go to him , this was his quote i'm just trying to prolong your life, (what un professional advice) then ended up in hospital he come in and saqy hang in there buddy, he must not know how to read a ct scsn, no mention of his stomach cancer, i pulled him out and took him elsewhere, upmc altoona told us more in 5 hours then we ever learnt from this plasce, thats to the doctor i have lost my hubby

This dr. Is a pig who spent more time comparing breast sizes of my mother and I than he did formulating a treatment plan that would work. Unfortunately, she went missing diagnosed and isn't going to make it long. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, only out for the money. Cologne is horrible too.

My Dad has been a patient for approximately 8 years, we have nothing but the BEST things to say. Dr. Sbeitan and Amy have been exceptional with our Dad. They have treated him like he was family. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sbeitan and his staff to anyone. They have been a Blessing.

Dr. Sbeitan came into my life at a very challenging time. I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-hodgkins lymphoma in early 2001. I was referred to him by an area physician that said, "If this was me, he would be the only oncologist in the area that I would want to treat me." Another friend of mine said, "He will treat you like you are his only patient". These comments personified my composite impression of his. His care, treatment and follow up were wonderful. I have referred many people to him as they face their own health challenges. They have all been quite impressed. I have also referred some of the consumers with developmental disabilities that I serve. He has treated them all with the care and dignity that they deserve. He was also able to help me in reference to the diagnosis of my prostate cancer. He is my friend!

real good doctor

My dear Aunt has been fighting cancer for 2 years. During this time, she has received care from this office. Unfortunately, more often than not, she feels like a number to treat, not a patient with feelings. As of late, her cancer has progressed. Since she is alone in another state, as well as progressing in age, she doesn't always understand information well. We have let 6 different messages with the doctor asking for a call back. (Of course, my Aunt has filled out permission forms.) We have yet to hear back and are beyond frustrated and disgusted by the lack of correspondence and compassion.

Thank you so much for your caring and supporting while dealing with this disease. I have found him very kind and passionate about his patients as well as his staff. they deal with everyone with kindness and sincere caring.

Outstanding

I was not pleased with the drs.personality or his assistant's. He wanted to do all kinds of tests that I didn't need. Making money on insurance I would say. I never went back. I got a second opinion and was very satisfied from the other dr. I saw.
