Dr. Ida Louise Santana, MD

She convinced my close family member to stop taking normal cancer treatment ( even though she is a licensed doctor) and she died because of her “diagnosis”. SHE PRESCRIBED HORSE MEDICINE FOR CANCER- AMONGST OTHER THINGS THAT SHE SHOULD BE JAILED FOR.

From the very first meeting with her I noticed she didn't ever actually listen to me. She did all of the speaking and asked no questions. Half the time she looked like she was drunk or took to many of her benzos before work. I was a patient for 3 years and I only spoke with her twice. She's just there to take in the money.

I write this review with a heavy heart because when I first met Dr. Santana I truly felt that she cared. As a recovering addict that perception of care was paramount to mine and many other patients recovery. As time has gone on and the bureaucracy of her clinic became overwhelming apparent we looked to her for both counsel and support. She failed to provide any of these and instead of taking the opportunity to try and resolve the issues she surrounded herself with clinic staff so it became impossible to even get an appointment with her. I have literally tried on 4 separate occasions to setup an appointment to see her and have been either flat out denied or directed to a PA who has neither the authority or the constitution to enact the necessary changes needed to positively impact my care. From a therapeutic standpoint she has never discussed any plans or strategies to eventually get off methadone. I can’t understand why this is not a discussion that is had from the very beginning. … As a for profit clinic however it does beg the obvious question... Being unable to speak for other patients I can only attest to my own treatment but as the daily waiting times for treatment provide ample opportunity to speak with many patients in the waiting room we have all discussed this very topic in length. The general consensus is we all seem to share the same sentiment. I feel Dr. Santana has an opportunity to enact the kind of change she preaches but it’s going to involve a major overhaul of how she runs her clinic and directs her staff to manage patient treatment. Until this happens I recommend you take any medical advice provided by her and her staff with a grain of salt.

She is very understanding and not judgemental at all. She will work with you if you have issues with setting an appointment or dosage or anything.
