Dr. Idalia Talavera Aviles, MD

Dr. Talavera is AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!...I love this doctor. I really shouldn’t be happy to visit her practice since it would mean that I have a medical issue but I’m always extremely happy to see her. She genuinely cares about her patients; the way she takes the time to listen before she address each concern & executes her medical services so ably & diligently, the fact that she understands that each patient is different & deals with me accordingly. Going to the gynecologist makes me anxious but as soon as she enters the room all that dissipates; she has a vibrant personality, the biggest smiles & most comforting words. I am grateful to have a doctor that consistently exudes a pleasant disposition & a natural maturity in demonstrating the breadth of her expertise & knowledge. Everyone at this practice is extremely pleasant & friendly; the nurse is awesome, the MA who does my blood work is extremely nice & comforting & the billing department has superb customer service. I’m always… able to get an appointment when needed & I’m in/out in a timely manner even though they’ve had to adjust to the pandemic. The environment is always clean & neat & they’re keeping abreast of technology. Great practice all-around.

Dr. Talavera's staff very warm and professional, easy check in and check out; Dr. Talavera was absolutely wonderful and my experience was what I hoped for. She answered all of my questions and showed great concern for my weight, but didn't make me feel uncomfortable. She found a way to incorporate humor and her own life experiences. She itook interest in my profession and thanked me for doing what I do for others. She completed my exam without me even realizing it. I would certainly recommend her to others.

SHE WILL FAT SHAME YOU IF SHE DOES NOT LIKE YOUR WEIGHT!!! I visited this office after being referred by my wife who had been there for a pap smear. There are countless OB's in Broward County so it's unfortunate that I ended up at this place. Up on arrival for my appointment the office staff was amazing. Everyone was so nice and I felt like I was in the right place. That soon ended after meeting Dr. Talavera. She came into the room after a few minutes of me waiting and immediately started talking about my weight. No disrespect to Dr. Talavera but she is nowhere close to what you would call fit. I sat there and listened for some time while she attacked my vegan lifestyle and made assumptions about the foods that I eat. The final straw was when she told me that I am not a "real vegan" because I consume grains, oats, and legumes because according to her "real vegans don't eat carbs". I asked her to double check the definition of vegan because if for the last 6 years of being… vegan I somehow missed the fact that we aren't supposed to eat carbs I'd like to know. She refused. I then asked her to stop insulting me and realized that I did not need to defend myself with someone who has such outrageous things to say. She continued telling me that her "partner" is vegan so she knows so much about it. I have no doubt that she's a very knowledgeable woman but in this instance she was wrong and refused to admit it. I left the office and told my wife about the experience and she couldn't believe it but we realized that she had a good experience because she is not overweight. My wife is very fit so Dr. Talavera did not feel the need to attack her as she did with me. I would not recommend going to this doctor if you care about your self image and self esteem. Worst experience at a doctor's office in my life. Awful, never again.

Dr. Talavera's staff very warm and professional, easy check in and check out; Dr. Talavera was absolutely wonderful and my experience was what I hoped for. She answered all of my questions and concerned with patience and detail; she was very informative and had great "bedside manner" She was absolutely gentle (didn't even notice I was being examined) in addition to her outstanding professionalism she made me feel like I was a friend or family and has a great sense of humor! . I absolutely have found a perfect GYN for me. I without a doubt recommend Dr. Idalia Talavera to all friend, family and anyone looking for a doctor that is thorough, professional and friendly and her staff reflects this from the moment you walk through the door. This was my first visit with Dr. Talavera, and I must say, she is one of the sweetest doctors I have come across in a long time. She took her time to explain things to me that my previous doctor never did. I recommend any and everyone to come to her.
