Dr. Idi Nkubo Allen, MD

I had a very negative experience with Dr. Idi Allen at The Pain Relief Center in Fayetteville, GA and want to share it so other patients can be aware. During my visit, I felt that Dr. Allen was dismissive and not really listening to me or my health advocate (my husband). He often interrupted and talked over us instead of answering our questions clearly. For example, when I asked about treatment options for pain management, I didn’t receive helpful explanations. The physical exam was especially difficult. At one point, I was asked to walk on my heels, which I physically could not do without severe pain. Even though I explained that I was trying and could not do it, I was asked to repeat it several times until my husband had to step in and stop it. The next day, I was in so much pain in my feet and neck that I could barely walk and felt worse than before the appointment. On top of that, I was given a diagnosis that did not match what my other doctor had recently told me after proper… testing. This left me confused and frustrated. I left the office feeling worse physically and emotionally than when I arrived, and I did not feel cared for or supported. Reading other reviews later, I saw that many patients reported similar experiences. In my opinion, patients in pain deserve compassion, careful listening, and safe treatment — and unfortunately, that was not what I experienced here.
