Dr. Idris Sharaf

He is a jerk! When we moved to Aiken I knew I needed a cardiologist here. He ignored my request for a yearly echo which my cardiologist at Vanderbilt said my condition required. He told me patients like me were why medical cost were so expensive. I am having complications now due to being his patient.

My blood pressure was very high at a time when I first met him in his clinic. I was treated by Dr Idris Sharaf very professionally. He prescribed me with a CPAP machine after the sleep study. After couple of weeks my blood pressure drop considerably to the desired level and never went back up as it used to be. Dr Idris Sharaf is very humble and pleasant person. Thank you Dr Idris Sharaf. When I was referred by my primary care doctor to Dr. Sharaf I was very nervous. My BP was extremely high and I felt very bad. Dr. Sharaf was genuinely concerned about me and treated me as an individual. He assured me that I did not cause my present condition and that he would find the right medicine to make me feel better. He and his nurse did not ignore my fears and now my B/P is under control and I feel so much better. I am truly blessed to have a doctor like Dr. Sharaf. Thank You Dr. Sharaf

my experience was absoluteliy horrible! i almost died under his care. i had been diagnosed with CHF and was seen by him the same day. i waited over a hour and when i was seen i was just given med to come back in 1 month. no explanation or anything.i only continued to get worse. he told me that i had a moderate leaking valve.nothing to worry about. no surgery required. i show up to my folloing appt 3o lbs heavier body so swollen i can barely breath. he increased in lasix from 20m to 40 mg. Come back in month. the very next day, i had to be taken to ER b/c i could not even breath.they gave me lasix thru IV and increased my dosage to 80mg for five days. during that ime, i found another cardiologist and was seen that thurs. i had lost 30 lbs of fluid in four days! he immediately gave me another echo to reveal that i needed open heart surgery immediately or i would die. leakage was past severe! i had two leaking valves and my heart was so bad they did not think it would make it thru… surgery. there were some complicatoins during surgery for that reason, but i ended up having a valve replaced and one repaired.i would never tell anyone who to choose for a healthcare provider, but i would strongly urge you to think hard and be attentive to how you are feeling and how you are treated as a patient. there is absolutely nothing dr.idris sharaf could ever do for me.
