Dr. Iffat Jahan, MD

When you experience Dr. Jahan, you experience having a doctor, friend, etc in one...I followed Dr. Jahan from another practice, and nothing has changed...She is still the same compassionate provider I have always known her to be. she listens, gives honest but not overbearing recommendations, and encourages you like no other.

Do not see this doctor. She will ignore your prescription refills, she'll change her mind on how often to see her without communicating with you, and if you're slightly overweight, she'll recommend dangerous diet pills. Do NOT see her - especially for anything requiring maintenance medications.

I saw Dr. Jahan to get a second opinion on my diagnosis. While I explained to her my reason for a second a opinion, she laughed at me and told me that I did have whatever the first doctor diagnosed me with. Multiple times during our conversation, Jahan tried her best to persuade me not to be retested for the issue. While I was still speaking with her during this appointment she got up and walked to the door as if she was done with our conversation. I felt humiliated and felt that I could no longer trust my own doctor. Everyone deserves a second opinion and no patient should feel belittled or bullied by their doctor because of it. The test was redone, however, I don't feel confident in the results as it felt as if Jahan needed the results to be positive because of her behavior. About 1-2 weeks later, I did write an email to Jahan explaining the way I felt and received no response, which makes the situation even worse. There was no apology, not even a response.
