Dr. Igor Huzicka, MD

He is thorough in his work and truly cares for his patients, going above and beyond in patient care and treatment.

The staff was nice but his manner was rude and not interested in me as a patient.

Dr. Huzicka is awesome. He truly cares about his patients. He will go all out to make sure everything has been taking care of. He has the best bed side manner of a doctor I have not seen in years. I will always be one of his patients. He knows me and my problems, he works with my other doctors in coordination of care. If you need a great doctor look him up.

The most arrogant man on earth. Very rude.

I recently had major surgery at a well-respected hospital by a well-known surgeon. After surgery I was wheeled to my room to begin a 3-4 day recuperation period. That day Dr. Huzicka was on the floor of the hospital to ensure everything was going smoothly. I was given a patient-controlled analgesia pump with some instructions. When I experienced some discomfort I pressed the button and soon fell asleep. Unfortunately I was given too much medication and the O2 sensor had not been connected to me by the hospital staff. My wife noticed that I was not moving and that I had stopped breathing, and had started to turn blue. She frantically went into the hallway to search for help. The first person there was Dr. Huzicka. He quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the needed medication, and assisted the crash team to help restore my breathing. By all accounts that have been supplied to me, it was his quick and decisive action that prevented what could have been an avoidable tragedy. He is… humble about the whole episode and his only comment to me is that he was just doing his job. My response to him was "nonsense". This was not an ordinary day of patient rounds and his quick actions prevented something terrible from happening. He has been solid in his diagnosis and clear in his explanations the whole time I have been in his care. I give him my highest personal recommendation.

The best gift you can give yourself is a good physician! I have found that to a very high degree in Dr. Huzicka and First Internal Medicine. He is very thorough in knowing health history and promoting improved or continued good health. He has been very knowledgeable in any and all questions I have thrown at him in the maintenance of my own health. Dr. Huzicka is patient and takes the time to really listen to questions I have had. I have been so pleased with the care he offers that I have my entire family and my Mom seeing him. That speaks volumes!! So happy to be his patient!!!

Medical Assistant and NP are rude. Over prescribes medication. Dr Huzicka spends adequate time during visits, and listens. Does not order appropriate diagnostic tests or home care designated by insurance in-network. Fails to file family medical leave act paperwork in a timely manner.

Dr. H is the first doctor I've found that actually listens and talks to you. Spent over an hour with me and didn't rush me out, unlike other docs. He helped me with my kidney stone/uric acid issues. Very amicable guy, and he seems to know his stuff (god knows I probably asked him a million questions). I'm not sure why there are some "haters" from previous posts. My experience here has been very positive, so I felt it necessary to post a review. Strongly recommend.

Dr. Huzicka over prescribes anti depressants, you see the PA more often and his office staff leaves a lot to be desired so I went elsewhere.

Reading reviews on this website I was a little apprehensive scheduling an appointment with Dr Huzicka. Once I met him my worries disappeared. He spent almost an hour with me during the first visit. None of the details of my complicated medical history escaped his attention. After a thorough exam he spent considerable time with me discussing all the tests that he would order as well as changes in my medications. My diabetes, which was uncontrolled for almost a year, improved quickly as a result, and I am finally losing weight. I am really glad I found this amazing doctor.
