He and his staff are very nice. They have worked with me on everything that I have had come up.

Dr. Mat treated my type 1 diabetes. I considered him to be a very good doctor and he had a great reputation. Had an appt. with him every 3 to 4 months for over 10 years.... Then all of a sudden, he was GONE. I had to find another doc on my own. I still miss him. Shouldn't he have at least referred me to another good doctor?

I saw him when he was located in Webster. Apparently he has moved on. He was an ok doctor, but usually spent most of my visit discussing the evils of managed care. I once ran out of supplies due to an error by my company that sent them to me, took 2 weeks and calling everyday to get a callback from his office.

First of all, my husband and I drove two hours to see this guy only to find out we had been scheduled for a day he had to take off. So two hour drive for nothing. All I go was a "We're sorry. It was a mistake." Couple weeks later, when I got my exam, he ordered some imaging of my thyroid. The same snotty, ignorant secretary who booked my first appointment informs me that radiology simply doesn't make same-day appoints just so I wouldn't have to drive, and that I would have to come back to Texarkana later it the week. When I asked her to see what appointments were availabe with radiology, she informed memshe didn't have time. I have no idea what she gets paid for, but it isn't for handking patient needs. I got my radiology orders from her and called. I told the lady at the Imaging Center what I needed, and she told me to give them an hour and come on over. Wow. That really took a lot of effort, huh?

Dr. Mat relocated to our town. We're so happy to finally have an endocrinologist in town. He spent time with us, addresses our concerns, and answered all our questions.

Started out ok. Dealing with office staff is a joke. Wait time got longer and longer. Last appt they called to reschedule(not given a reason) and the next appt I waited over an hour before asking for a refund and rescheduling. Next appt I would have waited 1 1/2 hrs or more before being seen, but after an hour questioned the front desk and found out they had "worked a few patients in" between scheduled appts.I gathered my refund, asked for a copy of my medical records and am in the process of finding another doctor. When a doctor doesn't value you or your time, I wonder just how much he can value your health.
